I turn the shower water on and the water comes out for 15 seconds, I hear a thump and the water stops and just dribbles. How do I fix the problem?

Hi kiehnsk,
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your problem is: when you turn the water on half way the water will come out of the shower head but when you turn it on all the way it stops. its only at the half way mark.
This is a common problem. Sometimes they come from the factory just slapped together, not tested. All the parts are there so you're going to have to adjust it. That's why I allways check the operation of the valve before I'm done. This is easier said than done. If you installed it yourself then it"s time to have some "fun". Turn the water off. Remove the handle and escutchen. At this point it depends on the model. Sometimes you pull out a part limiter and rotate 1/4 turn. Other times you pull out the guts and rotate a 1/4 turn. Then reasemble and test. You may have to do it a few times to get it right.

SOURCE: vibration from my shower panel
Sounds like the pipe going to the shower head is vibrating. Not secured tightly indige the wall. That is about the only thing it could be in my opinion. Hope this helps you out .

SOURCE: single handle tub faucet will not divert to shower
the diverter on the tub spout is bad you need to replace the tub spout or the pull up diverter if its a separate piece if you have the owners manual with a parts diagram you can order it on line from the manufacturer or a plumbing supply store. you will need to unscrew the tub spoup from the wall to do this use a broom handle or something similar inserted inside the spout and turn it to the left to remove it from the wall
