SOURCE: sony bravia klv-32t400a hdmi input through x-box
The problem is that, according to the specs for that TV, it doesn't support 1080p.
That's a 720p television you've got. (Specs here)
While the specs say that it supports 1080p, the resolution says it supports 1366 x 768, which is only 720p, not 1080p or even 1080i.
You may want to contact Sony for clarification, because their specs for that tv are contradicting each other.
All
hd-ready tv's only support max 1080i and not 1080p. The default
setting on the Xbox is 1080p, that's why you get that message. There
is a way to fix this, just follow the steps below:
Connect
TV and X box via HDMI cable with units switched off.
Switch
both units on.
Press
the right arrow 7 times (Left top jog knob on game controller)
Press
"A" button 4 times (Green button)
Press
"up" arrow once to set to 1080i
Press
"up" arrow once again to set to 720p.
Press
"A" to store setting
