Right where pipe fits at icemaker water runs out and down inside freezer. I relaced copper tubing but did not put all the loops that were like before. It worked fine before do you need to make about 4 large loops in tubing. Thats all thats different.
The only reason for the loops is so that you can move the refrigerator out. The loops act like an accordion allowing the unit to move in and out without kinking the line.
You probably have some ice frozen in the icemaker where the water comes in. If this is the case, remove the icemaker and thaw it out and try again.
You need to make sure there is enough water getting to the fridge. Inadequate water fill can cause this to happen. I am curious as to why you changed the water line. Was it leaking or some other problem?
Make sure the water line is not kinking behind the fridge when you have it pushed into place.
If you need more help, please post the complete model number so I can look it up and I will see what I can do.
Just wanted to follow up on your fridge and see what you found out.
Thanks/Mike
Is water going into the icemaker? If so it may be that it is now overfilling because the new tubing is allowing more water to get to the fridge than it used to.
If water is overfilling the icemaker, and you have an older style icemaker, you can adjust the fill switch on the icemaker.
Pop off the front cover of the icemaker and you will see an adjustment screw attatched to a lever. Adjust the screw so the lever goes toward the - symbol. This will shorten the amount of time the water valve turns on to fill the icemaker. If the lever is centered between the + and - symbols, turn it about 1 turn toward the -. If it is more toward the + side, adjust it to the center. It may take a few adjustments before you get it filling correctly.
If it is a newer style electronic icemaker there will not be any adjustment on it.
If you will post the model number I will try to look it up and see what kind of icemaker set-up you have.
Thanks/Mike

watugot I pulled fridge out to put new flooring down. water had stopped coming out at door I just did't think about icemaker and took tubing out, than had to put it back later. It still runs over.
I'm having the same problem with water coming down the back of coils in freezer filling the bottom of freezer...I thought I have a blocked line, but it is not....the ice maker works fine(NO overflowing). I'm going to recheck the line to make sure not partially frozen.
