You can hear a relay drop off line and it will not come on. When it doesn't start the power light flashes red. Once it starts the picture is fine but sometimes it takes 30 min turning it on and off before it will come on.

Google the model number with 2 blinks and look at the results, you may find on another forum the answer to what it means and even a answer--error codes tend to be general in nature so do not expect it to point to a specific part.
You might want to try disconnecting everything EXCEPT the power cord. If you still get the red power light (it should stay there forever) then bring the gateway to Radio Shack or somewhere they have a 5 volt DC @ 2 amp power supply and plug it in for 5 to 10 minutes and see if the power light then stays green. If it stays green then all you need is a new power supply! If not, then the gateway is fried. Mine keeps going from a solid green power light to a flashing green power light and I can hear a relay click every 2 minutes at which time a pop-up say "ethernet line disconnected". I tried new power supply etc. to no avail! It is fried after 1.5 years! No more 2wire for me!

The red blinking light just means that it went into lock out mode from to many attempts to start. If your igniter is glowing and you do hear the ''hissing'' sound, than your problem is there is no gas or not enough. When installing a furnace for the first time, you some times have to bleed the gas lines, other wise you get the exact same problem your having. If you have a flexible gas line, unscrew one side with the gas on to bleed off the air in the system, if it's all hard pipe, you will have to undo the union and bleed it that way. Hope this helps and good luck!
lenwas,
I have the exact same problem with the same model tv. It just stopped working, tv has no lights or evidence of power and the red standby light on the media center flashes without any other function potential.
I checked the internal tv fuse and it was measuring continuity.
If you figure anything out I'd be interested to hear it.
Tom
The power up sequence is being interrupted and this could either be the main power supply or a protective shutdown of the supply because of a downstream failure.
The clicking you hear is the activation and dropout of a relay.
If the flashing seems to be in a pattern, it may be telling you what has failed via the coded flashing.
Any Sony service (or service tech) can tell you what the problem likely is if there is a pattern to it.
If the relay clicks you most likely have a leaky diode or bad transistor in the stand by or start up circuit. There is a manual available for that model called. Toshiba Power Supply and Shutdown circuit Troubleshooter. Its available at the following link. It gives step by step instructions so you can figure out exactly whats wrong with your set. The site emails it too you after you place your order and they also provide free unlimited tech support so you will have a resource for help if you need it. I am one of their on line support techs. I highly reccomend that Manual to any one with a toshiba that will not power up. Here is the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
How good is your picture when it did come ? Is it as good as it once was ? Or is it alittle washed out. If it is washed out the picture tube is weak . Sometimes turning up the screen control alittle would solve problem but if you turn it up too much you would have faint white line running diagonally. Now if you think the picture was good before you this problem video circuit would be your suspect . Jungle IC or something in the RGB circuits . Good luck
Face it....your big screen is a Flasher.
but read back,,, I think you asked this before...go back about 1 or 2 months and see my solution to this exact problem.
but bottom line..you need a tech.
good luck
