My camera takes pics without any movement infront of it. I set it up in my closet and it still took pics at random over the 30 minutes in there it took 17 pics. Longest time in between pics was 9...

Scroll thru setup menu and make sure you don't have it in time lapse mode...if it is, it will automatically take a pic every whatever time time lapse is set for.If it is, set to default and reprogram.

When I take a pic, there is a delay in the time

Hi,
There could be several problems like: 1)the focus 2)Self timer set to 2sec or 10sec 3)very slow shutter speed set
Make it as a 10 or 20 second delay on the self timer .Your problem here could be that the settings are not right. Go to the menus and reset all to original or default. Then set menus the way you like. You may have a slow memory card, try changing to a faster card, and test it.
Thank you!

Camera says it has 1741 pics but only shows 14 in review.my daughter had the setting on internalmem, so how can i get to those pics kodakm753

Sounds like you have 1741 pics on the memory card and 14 on the internal memory. To get to those pics, you need to remove the memory card. Also, keeping 1741 pics on a memory card is a recipe for disaster. The pics can become corrupted over time and you will lose them. Also, that many pictures slows down your camera.

Background pics

On the AVH-P4000DVD you can NOT set your own jpgs as a background image. You are allowed to do this on the P4100.
I have read that you can view images if you are using an IPOD with the IPOD connection in the rear of the 4000, but you have to leave the thing connected at all times to see the pics.

Night Time Pics

Hello Ruby, On the mode dial you will see a setting for night time use, you should not have to change any other settings. If you refer to the user manual it will explain this in greater detail than I have room here to list.

I AM TRYING TO SET THE DATE & TIME TO APPEAR ON MY PHOTOS.

you can only do date and time stamp under function button go to bottom where you can change size of pictures -go to right to W or wide-this is only setting you can do date time stamp on-when you change pic size and go back to menu you will see it highlighted and you can now turn it on-equals about a 2-3 megapixel size picture only-also just leave settings alone and have printer add it-date and time our always in pic data and most printers can add it
