Need instructions to replace transmission on mav5000aww maytag washing machine. Online search did not help.

I have replaced my right lid lock twice and the second one just went bad. The left one does not matter, only the right one tells the washer the lid is locked. I think the bleach cup is the problem, bleach corodes the metal contacts in the lock. Try removing the plug and cleaning the contacts. I am going to bypass this lock I am not buying any more parts for this unit!
People have reported replacing this lock several times in unser two years.

hey good for you thats an eazy one .pull the washer out abit and then tip so the top resting on wall behind.be careful dose not slip out from under but ihave done it a hundred times as a repairman.before replacing the belt inspect the motor pulley,its plastic and they do melt.also inspect the pump pulley making sure it turns freely and the spot welds are not broken joinning the pulley to the pump shaft...........other wise just spin the old belt off and spin the new belt on.the belt goes on a total of three pulleys .thats it if you need any other help you can email .
