It sounds like the panel has had its day, and the door latch has as well. You don't say the age of the machine. But nowadays nothing is made to last. You can live without a washing machine. Just soak your washing in soapy water over night in the tub and rinse it out in clean water in the morning and hang it out to dry. If it is raining hang it under cover or squeeze as much water out of it as you can and put it in your dryer. Hopefully you have one and it is working.

Pull the front panel off, look for a plastic piece , it has a filter that you need to pull out. turn it to the left pull it out and clean it. This solved the problem for me. had the same issues.

Even though your washer probably isn't diaplaying any error codes (according to the symptoms you've provided), the condition still exists where you have a door lock issue. You can try unplugging the washer for about 30 minutes to see if the computer will reset. Sometimes the door lock jams for whatever reason and a manual release and/or power cut off will clear it. If for some reason, the washer still exhibits the same problem after following the advice in the link, any further repairs would be covered depending on the PURCHASE date of your washer. If you do not have a receipt, Sears will determine the date based upon the washer serial number. The serial number indicates the month and year the washer was manufactured. If you provide me with your COMPLETE model number, I can tell you if your washer would still be covered under the manufacturers warranty. I hope you find this information helpful.

Just in case there is a pull string with a loop, all plastic under the latch, need to pull the toe panel off and reach up inside the right, unplugged of course until you feel the switch. a pull latch is below the switch incase this happens and hats off to all star/ a serial error or a faulty switch is most of what causes this to start.
SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Oasis HE getting F1 code. What does this indicate?
your board is confused and cannot read water level, very easy fix, pull off console(three screws on rear) and remove clear hose on right side of main control. blow into with your mouth and clear tube. reconnect hose and try, if F1 continues main control will need to be replaced, Sears is offering this for free if your unit falls within a certain serial number range, Also a biggie.....You must use he soap only with the oasis....no exceptions.....

Hi, Both of these fault codes point to a pressure switch issue. If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch. With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions. If the fault codes return after diong this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch. If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to comment again, Good luck.
