Paper jam, what to do

Rotate the shredder into "Auto" and reverse to loosen any paper jam that is stopping the gears. Pull out any papers that are sticking out from the shredder feeder. If there is no progress then unplug the shredder and remove the shredder top from the bin. Turn it upside down and use tweezers to free any paper that is blocking the gear. Select the "Auto" option and feed paper into the center of the feeder tray if the shredder is only working in reverse mode. The sensor is located in the middle of the feeder tray and could be blocked by jammed paper. Use an index card to firmly unblock any paper that could be blocking the sensor.

Paper transport works not properly, 3 flashes orange LED

Hi,
First make sure the printers well connected and the power supply properly plugged.
  • Remove any previously loaded paper.
  • Check out the printers Auto sheet feeder/front feeder for any paper jams and remove manually any visible stuck papers.
  • Turn the printer off and on.This also helps in automatically removing any stuck papers that may not be manually removed.
  • Make sure there is no foreign objects in the Auto sheet feeder.
  • Make sure you load a fair amount of plain papers in the feeder, that is,reduce by half the amount you feed into the feeder.
  • In case the printers rear cover had been removed, fit it properly by pressing it firmly until it fully fits into the rear of the printer.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

I get the message that says "no paper in auto

Not sure if you get this message on the machine or in the software on you PC. It could be a software setting if it's on the PC that tells it where to pull the docs from. If it's a scanner message it could be an object blocking the paper sensor telling it something is in the feeder. Check the feeder paper path for anything that does not belong there or carefully blow out the paper path with compressed air. Sometime dust collection does this.

The printer keeps telling me it's out of paper, which it isn't

1> Open the sheet feeder cover and pull out the paper support.

Set paper, aligning the right edge of the paper to the cover guide with the paper's print side facing up.

Pinch and slide the paper guide to the paper's left side.

Note: Make sure to set paper lengthwise. Setting Credit Card sized paper long-side down by mistake may cause a paper jam.

Pull down the paper output tray supporting with both hands.

Pull out the extension completely.

Ensure that the Power lamp and the Auto Sheet Feeder lamp light.

Note: If the Cassette lamp lights, press the Paper Feed switch to light the Auto Sheet Feeder lamp.
If the Auto Sheet Feeder lamp does not light even after pressing the Paper Feed switch, Paper Source in the printer driver may be set to the setting other than Paper Feed Switch.

Can't change image quality

The problem is that only "fine photo pro" is available when the paper selected is photo paper. Change source to the sheet feeder, hit the "Paper" button and then select normal paper. You'll then be able to change the quality to normal.
