Sound not working on my tablet

hi Claire.
How do you fix the volume on your tablet? To verify the volume when audio or video are not playing:
  1. From the home screen, tap All Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
  3. Tap the DEVICE tab.
  4. Tap Sounds and notifications.
  5. Tap and drag the Media slider to the preferred volume.

I have just purchased a Kindle Fire HD8.I wish to make the sound louder when at full volume listening to an internet programme. I am running at full volume and it is too quiet.

This is the common issue with every Kindle Modal You need to attach external speakers o get the better volume. Apart from the Volume issue you can get in touch with the Amazon Customer Care Support Kindle Technical Support Registration 877 690 9305

My volume is relly low even wen its at max pleasehelp

I can't figure out what you are asking. Can you rephrase your question? What operating system are you using, Win7? If so, try right-clicking on the "speaker" icon found in the system tray (lower right hand side of screen) and select 'Open Volume Mixer' option. Make sure all settings are not set to minimum. It could be another config setting. Explore other options under the "speaker" icon.
Good Luck.

My tablet sound is low even when i have my volume settings at the max

This may sound silly, bit do you have your tablet in a sleeve or cover? If so, check that the cover is not covering the speaker outlet(s) on the back of the tablet. If it is, a hole or slot cut into the cover over where the speakers are located should fix the problem.
By the way, a quick test to see if this is the proble is to operate the tablet with the cover removed. If the sound is now OK, it's the cover causing the problem. This happens more often than you might think...

Also, some tablet do have really poor audio systems and both low volume and low quality sound. Hopefully your tablet is not one of them.

Low sound can hardly hear it even tho the sound is turned high

Sometimes the app you're using has it's own sound control that overrides the device sound setting. Look in the app for sound settings, eg audiobooks apps often have a separate setting for volume and this is the one that you need to adjust.

My volume is not working even when I turned on but still nothing happend I powered off then back on but still nothing happened

Now Jennifer, do you mean the sound or the volume controls? I assume you mean the sound. In that case, can you hear anything when you plug in headphones? Is there a little headphone icon displaying on the screen? Can you make the volume bar display and move it up and down?
In Settings > Audio Profiles, you can choose ringtones and such, and set the volume levels of various audio sounds. It will also play a sample of ones you select, which is a quick way to see if the audio works.
You can install the "Z-Device Test" app from the Play Store, and it tests all sorts of things on your android. Maybe it can help.

Yurning up volume

I'm going to make an assumption (assume=*** of u & me) that you are dealing with an Intel/Win machine.
If not, forget everything I wrote here.
It's helpful if you mention what your system and OS is.

You will need to click or double click on the speaker symbol on the task bar; if organized as common, it will be on the right.

On Win XP, a single click opens only the voulume control, double click gives you a detailed panel (different audio cards/chips look different since this is a software function) that allows you to control the level of different inputs or file types.

The presence of a speaker symbol on the escape button is kind of puzzling but may be a function of an extended keyboard that requires a manufacturer's device driver to be loaded when you boot.
That may not be loading.

(Some icons may require double clicks-)
If yes, then click on the Start menu, select Control Panel, then Sounds & Audio devices (or similar), this will show you if the sound is muted and let you select default volume level and tell you whose audio is installed.
If it looks OK, close the window and then click on the System icon, then Hardware, finally Device Manager.

Check the list for open folders that involve sound devices for any red 'X' on functions.
If you find one, then something hasn't been installed or turned on and since we don't know the exact system you have, it may require different methods of 'fixing' the problem and then you will need a friendly nerd nearby to help you.
