Motorola H500 - sudden audio failure; device pairs fine, no sound

Demonstrates that it is actually paired and the activation button does call the voice command interface on my LG... However previously the volume control buttons would also register activity on the cell screen by calling up the set volume dialog. This no longer occurs. The voice command interface still responds, so voice is still being sent to the cell.

The problem began suddenly with barely audible sounds and then no sound at all... volume control buttons no longer evidence any activity either by adjusting the volume or by causing the display of the volume control dialog on the cell display.

I have removed the device, rebooted the cell, and made certain both cell and headset have a full charge. Pairing and connect/disconnect continue to function correctly and adding the device again isn't a problem, it just no longer has audio output.

No technical support of FAQ apparently available through Motorola. On that basis alone, I will never recommend this product. At the price I expect a device like this to last longer than a month.

SOURCE: H500 won't pair with Blackberry Curve

It might already have been figured out but if you hold the answer button on the headset down until the light stays on steady, it is in pairing mode. You can then go to bluetooth setup on the Curve and it will find the headset.

SOURCE: Motorola Bluetooth HS850 Pairing Mode

This worked great for me... I got the headset in "pairing" mode by following these instructions. Then set my BB Curve 8350i to "discover" bluetooth devices. It discovered the headset and asked for a PIN number... one of the other articles I read said the pin was "0000" so I put that in and - PRESTO - it works

I want to pair the motorola H500 to my blackberry pearl. i cannot get the bluetooth in pairing mode?

-Be sure the headset is fully charged.(plug it in till the light turns off.)
-Hold the talk button down for 4 seconds or until the blue light goes solid (not blinking.)

Now the device should be ready to pair with your Blackberry. It usually only stays in pairing mode for a short while (approximately 90seconds)

I can't get my motorola h500 to pair to my nokia 2865i

To pair the headset, first turn off the headset if it’s not already off, hold the multi-function button until the LED light turns solid blue (not blinking blue) with an audio indication, then use your phone to discover and pair with the headset using “0000” as the default pass code.

I can not pair my h500 to my blackberry storm

Turn the bluetooth off and go into the phone to search for devices, then turn the bluetooth on holding onto the on button until the blinking blue light turns solid for a couple of second then let go. The device should come up on the blackberry as Motorola H500, pair it and enter passcode 0000. Goodluck

ACTIVATING THE BLUETOOTH
You must activate the Bluetooth feature of your phone to be able to establish a Bluetooth connection
between your phone and your SuperTooth kit as well as with other Bluetooth devices.
1.
Press Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > Activation > On.
2.
Press Back as many times as needed to return to standby mode.
PAIRING TO THE CELLULAR PHONE (Not possible while charging the SuperTooth)
Pairing will create a link or connection between the two Bluetooth devices - the SuperTooth kit and your phone.
1. Bring the cellular phone at about 20 cm from the SuperTooth.
2. Turn off the SuperTooth and wait for about 4 seconds.
3. While pressing the Answer Button, turn ON the SuperTooth by sliding the Power Switch to the right. Keep the Answer Button pressed for approximately 10 seconds until you hear a distinctive tone and the Bluetooth indicator LED changes from blinking blue to alternately blinking of red and blue. The SuperTooth is now in pairing mode.
4. While the SuperTooth is at pairing mode, access the Bluetooth menu of your phone. Press Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > My devices > Search new device. The phone will then search for pairable devices until it displays them in the list.
5. Highlight SuperTooth then press Select.
6. Enter PIN “0000” then press Ok. (Wait until “Paired with …“ and “Connected” will be shown briefly.)
7. Press Back as many times as needed to return to standby mode. Pairing is successful if the alternating red/blue lights of Bluetooth Indicator stops and then change to plain blinking blue. Normally, the phone would also show briefly on its display if it’s already paired and connected to SuperTooth or if pairing with it failed.
The SuperTooth kit is now ready to use.

H500 Headset Problem

This is the same headset I have.

I believe you have to hold the power button in until the light starts to blink, then tell your phone to look for the device. Don't forget to remove the device in your blackberry if you are still using it.
