The green timer light near the On-Off button is flashing. The TV is not working. I have reset the TV and disconnected power.
After reset the green light starts and keeps flashing. Same after power removed and restored.
Any ideas?
My Mitsubishi WS-73713 had the same blinking green timer light problem and would not turn on. I tried the reset button and unplugging power to no avail. I found that by simultaneously holding down the remote control "power" button and "volume" button for about 30 seconds the blinking light would go out and a solid green light would come on. Even though the solid green light came on the unit would still not power up. After doing this several times however the unit did finally power up in a normal mode and appears to be working again. It's worth trying before calling in for an expensive repair. PS - From here on out I'm sticking with SONY or Toshiba sets which have given be great service.
I had to have this fixed as well
it was a capacitor on the board

The capacitors on the dm board are probably bad. I called mitsubishi and they agreed to pay for the part even though my tv is four years old. MITSUBISHI cust # is 1-800-332-2119

hold menu button for 8 sec and then unplug for 1 minute. then when you plug it back in it will work after 1 minute
