This service manual contains detailed descriptions of all the repair and servicing procedures specific to this power tool series.
1.stihl ts350 parts manual
There are separate handbooks for servicing procedures for standardized parts and assemblies that are installed in several STIHL power tool models. Reference is made to these handbooks in the appropriate chapters in this manual. As the design concept of models FS 120 FS 200 FS 300 FS 350 FS 400 FS 450 and FR 350, FR 450 is almost identical, the descriptions and servicing procedures in this manual generally apply to all models.

Full choke, stop switch on run. Pull rope handle 3-4 times or more until it "tries to start" (it will not start, but it will try to for a split second) move the choke lever to the half-choke position and without pulling the throttle, poll the rope handle until the engine fires and runs for 4-5 seconds then fully open the choke to the run position, let it warm up for 25-30 seconds (don't forget to let it cool down about 45-60 seconds before you turn it off!) and then proceed to use it.
The Stihl FS45 has a particular way of getting started as do all the stihl products. We sell Stihl equipment in our store and service and repair them also. The normal starting procedure is to: Be sure the switch is turned to the ON position which is the negitive sign (-). The (O) is the off position. Press the primer bulb 3 times. Move the choke lever to on. Pull the starter cord three times only. If the engine fires, turn the choke to the off position and pull till it starts. If the engine did not try to start during the first three pulls with the choke on, you must turn the choke off and pull till it starts. Remember:Pulling more than three times with the choke switch on will flood the carburator on every stihl product thats on the market. However, if the units still refuses to start, being its new and still under warrenty, return it to the repair shop that services Stihl products and they will repair it according to warrenty. All parts and labor should be honored at no cost to you. Please provide your receipt and serial number located on a silver tag located on the unit or the mechanic will get it off the unit when he works on it. Either way, it will most likely have to have a new carburator put on it. I hope this helps. Please comment back if this was helpful. Thanks; George
Taking into account that you have corrected any other deficiencies,
this unit should have electronic ignition. If you experiencing run time issues,
seek an authorized sthil dealer for repair.
if it's an older unit start with pulling the muffler and cleaning exhaust port and spark arrestor.
while muffler is off sta.rt the unit and check for improvement. if no improvement clean & adjust carb. if improved with no muffler, test again with muffler installed. if unit goes back to running poor replace muffler.
P0441 : Evap. Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow
General Description The evaporative emission control system prevents hydrocarbon (HC) vapors from the fuel tank from escaping into the atmosphere where they could form photochemical smog. Gasoline vapors are collected in the charcoal canister. The ECM controls the Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) to purge any collected vapors from the canister back to the engine for combustlon. This valve is actuated by the purge control signal from the PCM and controls fuel vapor from the canister to the intake manifold. Possible Cause : ● Leakage on hose to PCSV● Defective PCSV
Comments:
Aug 10, 2008- PCSV Inspection 1.Ignition "OFF"2.Disconnect the hose leading from the PCSV to the intake manifold at PCSV3.Using a vacuum pump, apply specified vacuum(Approx. 15 in, Hg) to the manifold side of the valve and verify PCSV holds vacuum.4.Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"5.Install scantool and select "EVAP PURGE VALVE" on the Actuation Test mode6.Activates "EVAP PURGE VALVE" by pressing "STRT(F1)" key7.Verify PCSV release vacuum while valve is activating(should hear a faint click from PCSV)8.Repeat this procedure 4 or 5 times to ensure PCSV reliability.9.Is PCSV working properly?YES▶ Thoroughly check fuel vapor hoses and hose clamp and replace as necessary. Go to "Terminal and connection inspection" procedure.NO▶ Thoroughly check fuel vapor hoses and hose clamps between PCSV and intake manifold. Repair as necessary. If OK, test with a new PCSV and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace PCSV and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure
- Terminal and Connector Inspection 1.Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.2.Check the following conditions:(1)Check for damaged harness and terminals: contact resistance, oxidation, bent or broken terminals.(2)Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks and poor terminal to wire connection.3.Is a problem found?YES▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.NO▶ Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.Using a suitable male pin to ensure that contact in sockets is good. The pin should remain in position when pulled gently.
