SOURCE: Re - Lumix Panasonic DE- 994 battery charger ??

Hi Cyril,
In theory this charger is fully automatic and stops the charging process once it detects that the battery has been fully charged (it will not restart charging until the battery has been taken out + put back in).
Of course, as with any electrical item, it's probably safest to unplug it if you're not planning to use it for a long time (e.g. weeks.)
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a lumix panasonic model DMC-LZ5 when it

This is a battery contact problem, the DMC's are horrible for it. Firstly as the previous answer said, take the battery out and clean the 3 copper tops (scrape them with a knife tip to remove ****) and secondly, make sure it is seating well into the battery cavity, you may want to pop a bit of tape on the back end of the battery so it is pushed in a little deeper by the door when it closes.

Hello

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

Your camera is faulty. It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

SOURCE: camera is locked open. battery is fully charged.

believe it or not, take your camera and wack it into your open hand, with the screen side. Remove first all rings on your hand or you might loose your screen. If this does not work your camera for all practical purposes is toast, too expensive to get repaired. Sell it on ebay with: "screen not craked" and buy a replacement: 230505313571. I also love this camera and they often come up on ebay for <$50.

If the battery is fully charged then there is nothing to do but take/ send it in for service. Contact Panasonic or your retailer to find out where the closest Authorized service agent is.

My panasonic lumix ls80 digital camera turns itsel*** as soon as i turn it on

Be sure that your batteries are fully charged and in fact using name brand rechargeable batteries. If you are using Alkalaid, make sure they are fresh. Alks after a use that runs them down will come back after awhile for some more pictures. If you have fresh batteries and the camera turns itself off after turning it on, it probably has a problem in the power supply section or the switching section on/off on a circuit board.

I have a sony cibershot camera for over a year now, it has always worked nicely, up until a month ago, it suddenly wont turn on anymore. I,ve already charged and re-charged the battery but nothing...

make sure the batt is charging and working fine.check also the batt contacts.make sure its clean.insert batt to your camera.instead of pressing the power button, press the play button instead to power camera on. if unit turns on,might actually be an issue w/the camera unable to power on in camera mode.if it turns on initialize cam (p.75 of the manual).see if it works.if still wont turn on try using a diff batt (or if you have an optional ac adapter model#acls5k use it, attempt to power on cam to isolate issue w/power source).if batt or ac adaptor not available try to check batt with another cam if possible to test batt. if still unit doesnt turn on using a fully charged, diff batt, or using an ac adaptor, unit would reuire service. hope this info helps.thanks:)

DMC Tz3 will not power up. Battery is fully charged. sometimes when it does come on it will not read card and will have to reset date and time.

First remove the SD card in case it is defective itself causing the camera to act funny. Next, your symptoms are indicative of a bad, not fully charged, or intermittent battery contact with camera's contacts.

Clean batt contacts using a clean pencil erasure.

If this doesn't work, measure a fully charged battery's voltage on the battery pos(+) and neg(-) terminals. It should be 4VDC. If less than 3.8, I would be suspicious it is not taking a full charge.

New batteries on ebay are cheap, and would not be a loss since you can always use backup batteries if you get another TZ camera. Or, you could just sell your camera to a repairman in an ebay auction, keeping your batteries and accessories, and buying a used working one with accessories cheap.

hi lumix_user, these fuses are surface mount fuses and can not be changed by yourself, more damage will be done to the unit if you have no experience in the repairs department. take it from me i have seen what damage is done to units when they have been tampered with. please send to panasonic agents for repairs.
