Hi i wanna know what causes legs veins block

"When a blood clot forms within a vein that is located deep in the human body, it is called deep vein thrombosis. Blood clots can typically form when the blood begins to thicken and then form together. Deep vein thrombosis usually happens in the upper thigh or within the lower part of the leg. When the blood clot begins to travel throughout the body's blood stream, it is called an embolus, and it can be a very serious condition. The clot can then block many vital organs of the body, and it is then referred to as pulmonary embolism."

My leg have felt as though thing Pulsating thetththere is a pulsating feel is soing as though sommethis going upmand down my leg Insometimes feel this in my arm. What is the answer please?

hi pamela.
Throbbing from vascular origin
A vein can produce this sensation because of the increased blood flow to a particular area due to physical activity - this can happened when you jog in the morning or after bodybuilding exercise or any other physical activity. When somebody tackles you during a football game and traumatizes your leg, the swelling can push on the vessels and this can produce a throbbing sensation. A trauma can also produce an abnormal communication between an artery and vein - this is called AV fistula.
Usually throbbing from vascular origin is not a reason to worry. You may visit a general practitioner who will probably examine the blood flow and may even order a test to look at your vessels.
Rarely the cause of throbbing is aneurism which produces a wide pulsatile area - aneurisms are often treated surgically.
  • It is useful to know that common conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, blood clots or peripheral artery disease usually do NOT present with throbbing sensation but usually present with pain and swelling.
Throbbing caused by muscle twitching
Turn off the lights, sit on a chair and use a direct light from a lamp and try to make the light beam horizontal so you can see the throbbing area clearly.
If you see tiny twitches you should know that your throbbing sensation is produced by your muscles.
Conditions causing muscle twitching
Although muscle twitches are often idiopathic or as a result of muscle hyperactivity or hyperexcitability because you had too much coffee or you had a heavy exercise earlier, muscle twitches can be a symptom of a serious medical conditions.
B12 deficiency. This is found especially in alcoholics or vegetarians. Muscle twitching is not an early symptom, usually B12 deficiency presents with anemia and decreased or altered sensation.
Multiple Sclerosis. Usually presents with pain behind one eye. Muscle twitching is a common symptom.
infection and Amyotophic Lateral Sclerosis also known to cause muscle twitches. It is advisable to see a neurologist for further evaluation, the neurologist is most likely to order MRI and blood test

How do I stop my ankles and feet to swelling after being sun burnt

Hello Anne.
Since this is a Q & A about cars and trucks,,, I will venture off topic..
This is serious and therefore should be evaluated by a physician. When you go to your doctor's appointment, be prepared to discuss the following possibilities. If the ankle swelling started just after the sunburn, it may be due to an inflammatory reaction as the skin tries to heal. A sunburn is a first degree burn but it still causes local inflammation and pain. As the body mounts an inflammatory response, the capillaries in the area dilate and become leaky. This process can cause localized edema and swelling, which usually resolves on its own over time. However, not every sunburn causes this reaction, so if yours is severe, you should see a physician. The reason you get extreme pain when you stand still is because the blood is pooling in your lower legs causing the swelling to increase. It is so painful cause the tissues are ripping apart to create room for the 'blood pooling' or tissue swelling. The most sensitive areas are the shins cause the tissue is tightly attached to the bone. That is why when you sit down or lay down it subsides or goes away. The body is not "upright" causing gravity to pool the blood in your lower legs ankles and feet can also be due to lymphedema. Lymph fluid travels up through vessel and is filtered through the lymph nodes of the body. Any issue with the lymph nodes or vessels in your leg can cause the fluid to pool in lower areas of the leg. If you have ever had lymph nodes in your abdomen, pelvis, or legs removed or irradiated, you should see a doctor very soon. Another possible cause of your problem, is your body retaining too much fluid overall, which can be manifested as swollen ankles and feet. This condition, called pitting edema, can affect people who have problems with their heart, liver, or other body systems. When fluid builds up in the legs, it can also build up in the lungs and other critical organs, so it is important to have this issue evaluated immediately. I strongly recommend that you make an appointment to see your primary care doctor ASAP!!, and he or she can refer you to a specialist if this becomes necessary.

My left leg from knee to toes swells daily at least an inch. I sleep it goes to normal

Swelling of the leg may involve a noticeable distension of the shin or calf, ankles, feet or toes. Foot swelling may be a common occurrence which most of us will experience at some point in life after a long day of standing or sitting but may also be an indication of a more serious pathology as in certain cardiovascular disorders.
Recurrent or persistent swelling of the feet should be investigated by a medical practitioner especially if you have a history of cardiovascular disease or have noticed a change in color, sensation or mobility of the leg, foot or toe.
Blood rich in oxygen and nutrients flows through the arteries to the target area. Blood carrying deoxygenated blood returns to the heart via the veins where it is quickly routed to the lungs to be replenished with oxygen.
Blood flowing to the leg has to return to the heart through a group of veins with intermittent valves located throughout the course of the vein. This venous blood (blood in the veins that is returning to the heart) has to flow against gravity and since the pressure is usually lower at the feet, other muscles of the leg assist with 'pumping' this blood back to the heart. This muscle pump is most active when we are walking and least when we are standing stationary or sitting. Blood travels short distances up the vein and backflow of blood is prevented by a series of valves in these veins.
Working alongside the blood vessels are the lymphatic vessels which return lymphatic fluid (lymph) back up the body to empty into the blood system.
Swelling of the leg usually occurs as a result of an inadequate flow of blood or lymphatic fluid back up to the torso of the body. However other localized causes may further contribute to swollen feet, ankles or toes.

Is the seat on the plane responsible for blood clots during flights?

The seat is partly to blame. It presses against the veins in the leg, restricting blood flow. Inactivity also plays a role. It decelerates the movement of blood through veins.

How to get reed of vercuse vain. i have alot of vercuse vain on my leg

Hi carleenedavi,

Have a nice day. My name is adieh.

Here are a few tips on how to remove and prevent spider veins:

1.Exercise regularly. Blood circulation is an easy varicose vein treatment. These veins are caused by clogged blood veins which become enlarged. Frequent exercise will increase your blood flow through your veins and prevent future blockages.
2.Avoid crossing your legs. When you cross your legs you restrict blood flow through your veins. A pinched vein can cause blood to sit stationary in a vein and form a spider vein over time.

3.Eat a diet high in vitamin C. Vitamin C has been proven to promote vein health and performance. Oranges are a great source of vitamin C as well as certain melons. Taking a vitamin C supplement daily is also a good idea.

4.If your spider veins are excessive, think about getting Scierotherapy. Scierotherapy is a medical procedure where they inject your varicose veins with a formula that closes the vein. After a few weeks the vein slowly starts to die and disappear.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using fixya
