Where do ink cartridiges go in an HP 4630 printer?

I see that you're getting the error code: 0xc4eb827f on the front panel of your HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer. I'd like to assist you today with resolving this error. The failure itself may be within the print system in your printer. Due to the error state there is only one support step that we can attempt, which is a Reset. Can you please follow the steps below.


Reset the Printer:
Without turning off the printer, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer.
Remove the ink cartridges from the printer. *
Wait until a message to insert the ink cartridges displays. If you do not see a message within a few minutes, skip to step 4 to disconnect the power cord.
Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Wait 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord. If the printer does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close any open doors on the printer.
If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the printer.
Try to print.

Ink levels are set by chips on the ink carts. You may be able to reset the chips with a "chip resetter", but that's not really recommended. Get refillable carts with automatic resetting chips...

take the cartridges out and give them a shake, wear gloves and cover pad with thumb when shaking.

Check the printer settings (software that came with the printer) which will be available on your computer, just in case you need assistance you can call 1-877-805-1027

This is an Ink System Failure message. I would try this guide. 'Ink System Failure' or a '0x...' or a 'C2...' Error Message Displays on the Front Panel. To help resolve the issue.

ok.... instant ink is a subscription service that sends you ink on a monthly basis according to how many pages you told them you print. that cartridges fit you machine, so yes you CAN use them, you paid for them upfront. there is no penalty for canceling, no annual fees, etc. The only thing you will lose is the recycling of your old cartridges..whoopie.....

most wont.. they require the original expensive replacement cartriges..

There really isn't any difference. Both 4630 and 4635 have same specs as far as connectivity, speed, ink cartridges, etc. You can compare the two at the link below. Hope this helps. Sometimes there is a variation of model numbers for same model for marketing reasons. For example Costco stores would order HP 4630 and that will be the Costco 4635. Hope that makes sense.
