There is no nut on the tensioner, just a weird looking thing witch a socket won't fit

Belt tensioner? Usually takes a 3/8 " ratchet or 3/8 " breaker bar to rotate the belt tensioner.
Get in there with an inspection mirror(It's tight quarters!).
Some Toyota's require a skinny wrench to fit onto the 14 mm bolt head. Some are 17 mm.
Socket won't get in there.
Some cars require loosening the engine mount and jack the engine up to gain enough clearance!(Mitsubishi)

What makes a belt squeak?

Belts squeak for the same reason tires do when they spin. They are slipping. Something isn't turning as fast as the belt wants it to. On ford it's usually ether the idler sprocket or the tensioner. If you remove the belt and try spinning all of the pulleys by hand.( note the crank wont spin freely) you will usually be able to tell witch ones slipping.

Hi we have a kia sedona 2000year and 2.9 diesel, exec. auto. it came with half the engine in the boot, we have skimed the head and rebuilt it just the new cam belt just wont tighten enough we have fully...

the cam belt should have a little slack in it,, about 1/2 inch over its longest run, its not like a fan belt witch should be tight, but check the idler bearing are not worn out,,and i do hope this is a new belt for this car,,,if your using the old belt,,,dont! fit a new one on it or it could brake on you, and that would be another engine rebuild on your hands,,,

My drum will not turn .GLER642C

if your drum is'nt turning does your dryer power on ? if so then you have a bad or broken drive belt that needs to be replaced or it has slipped off the drum or out of the tension pulley if the rest are good or you have a bad tension pulley witch rarely goes bad. if it is your belt and you can't find a replacement let me know i can find one for you.
