Suggestion that you make a chart of on-off times before programming since timer 'will not function as expected' if there is a conflict in programming

With persistence, I was able to program the Universal Remote Control provided with the cable box to control my new used Pioneer SX-315 receiver. I now can control the tv volume, cable box, auxiliary stereo receiver with speaker system with one remote. Thank goodness I did not have to resort to buying a Pioneer remote control.

I was able to program another previously unused universal remote which I purchased several years ago. However, since the other remote control did not list the Vizio TV. That brand is too new for the remote.

GE-1000SX stands for Gigabit short haul Multi-Mode fiber That's the SX part. This is a full duplex MMF (multi-Mode Fiber) short haul (SX) connection. It can only connect to another MMF SX enabled device. This is generally used as an uplink between switches or for a high speed connection to a server.

In short if the GE-1000SX duplex pair isn't attached to a similar interface at the other end there will be no connectivity. If you're trying to connect 100FX (100 Mb Fiber) it won't work.
