If the units are more than 5 to 7 years old they have reached the end of life cycle and need to be replace. Smoke detector typically are only good for 5 to 10 years.

My Scorpion Z6 house alarm system, with fire alarms attached, beeped during the night for no apparent reason. All contoller lights were correctly on indicating it is not a battery problem. I think the beep...

I'm not familiar with your system... but, I'd suggest changing any and all batteries, if it happens again. I don't know about your controller lights, but I do know that the battery does not have to get very low in an alarm before it starts giving you an occasional warning chirp.. If your battery or batteries are over a year old, you should change them, anyway. If a new battery (batteries) doesn't fix your problem, you might try vacuuming or blowing some air into the works on the chance you might dislodge some foreign particle that might be causing this. That said, though, I have had to trash fire alarms that did just how you're describing... because, no matter what, I couldn't make them be quiet.

My 521NCSXT smoke sector beeps periodically. What is required to repair?

When a smoke detector beeps periodically it is telling you that it needs a new battery. They require the newest 'alkaline' 9 volt battery that you can get. If it is not alkaline you will get the beeps. once the battery is replaced do a hard reset. (pressing the button for 10 or more seconds)

Keypad message reading 12volt low battery on three wireless zones. changed out all batteriies and still getting message.

This could be referring to your battery backup for the control panel. Make sure your battery connections are secure and check the batteries' voltage with a multimeter. If it is showing less than 12 volts and has been connected to the control panel for more than 24 hours, the battery is bad and needs replacement. Contact your local alarm company and ask them verify the battery is bad, and they can install a new one for you right then.
