ERROR #17 PRINTER WAS WORK, THEN ERROR 17 CAN UP. HOW PRINTER DOES NOT. I CAN'T MY MANUAL AND I DON'T KNOW TO GO TO GET ONE. CAN YOU HELP? THANKS FRED

first thing to try is resetting the machine, unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in and try it again, sometimes it will have a glitch which is temporary and resetting it will work. If it still has an error message it should have an error number associated which you can look up in the manual or on line.

Hi Fred,
Turn the printer off and on.
Check through the paper paths for any obstructions.
Remove any stuck papers manually.
Solved?
Disconnect the printer from PC,unplug from power and reboot your PC.
Re-connect printer and start your PC.
Avoid filling the paper feed tray to capacity.
Try printing now.

The 17 and 27 cartridges are compatible with your Lexmark X1150 printer. Try to manually wipe the cartridge nozzles with a soft moistened cloth. This will help clean the nozzles from dirts and clogs. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet in the wall to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the cover. If no error, open the cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

Try the above hp support center document. I know that not all errors that pop up on the printer display will be in the manual, but usually the first few characters of an error code point towards the failure.
