Good Afternoon Friend, I am happy to assist you! May I have the model number of your Frigidaire freezer please? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is normally located inside the cabinet, on the left side wall. With this information I can better assist you and provide the accurate instructions on how to replace the door switch. Thank you! - Z

SOURCE: I have a frigidaire freezer upright model#ffu20f9gw3

Without any additional info, there are a lot of possibilities:
1. Condenser coil (underneath unit) is dirty and clogged.
2. Compressor is failing. (need A/C tech)
3. Metering device is clogged. (need A/C tech)
4. Refrigerant charge is low. (need A/C tech)
5. Door seal is broken (frost will form around door).
6. Defrost heaters are stuck on (replace defrost timer located underneath unit at front).
7. Condenser fan has failed (underneath freezer on back).
8. Evaporator fan (inside fan) has failed (ice will form on cooling coil).

This should get you started...

If this helps you, please select YES to the first two ratings questions. Thank you, and Good Luck.

2008 Frigidaire upright freezer giving error code -H9. Can you please help me with this? No notation in manual.

The error code -H9 on a Frigidaire upright freezer typically indicates a communication error between the control board and the display board. To troubleshoot this issue, try unplugging the freezer for a few minutes, then plugging it back in to see if the error code clears. If the error persists, it may be necessary to replace one or both of the boards. Contact a qualified appliance repair technician for further assistance.

Frigidaire frost free upright freezer door corner dripping

Hello Yellow, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Frigidaire freezer is dripping water out of the corner of the door. It is possible that with your power going out the heat may have caused the gasket to warp. Do you see any frost build-up? The water that is dripping could be coming from condensation within the freezer. I would recommend checking the gasket to see if it is allowing warm air to enter the freezer.

I recommend that you visually inspect the door gasket for defects such as gaps or tears. You can also use a dollar bill to test the door gasket. Place a dollar bill in between the door and the body of the freezer. If the dollar bill pulls out with no to little resistance, you may need to replace the door gasket. A faulty door gasket can allow warm air to enter the compartment and cause frost to condensation or a leak. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

How can i stop the door ajar alarm when door closed and off?

Hey friend, thank you for your post!

In order to stop the door ajar alarm from beeping when the door is closed you would need to reset the alarm. If you have done that and it continues to beep it could be an issue within the switch or panel of your Frigidaire freezer. I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose your appliance. -Matt

How do i install a new door gasket/seal on my Frigidaire upright freezer model # LFFH21F7HWA ?

    Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know how to install a new door gasket on your Frigidaire freezer, model# LFFH21F7HWA. Typically this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals that will tell you how to do this. I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or your local authorized technician for further assistance. The technician has been trained on your specific appliance, and should be able to replace the new gasket with ease. Hope this is helpful.

Check the freezer fan by opening the freezer door and pressing the door switch and listing for the freezer fan sound. If no sound then the fan motor could be bad.

Look at the back wall too see if you have frost build up. If you do then you have a defrost problem.

If thees are not your problem you could have a seal system problem. (( freon leak ))
