How do you get to turn off the airbag warning light. it flashes once and then eight times for a feww sequences then stays on permanently
It depends on the make of car, but generally, you have to reset the fault codes in the ECU. You use a diagnostic tool in the OBD port normally under the dashboard.
Other way is to get workshop to reset. It will NOT go away on its own no matter what you do.
In the UK it will FAIL its annual MOT if the light is flashing.

You have a bad Passenger Air Bag Deactivation Indicator. The bulb that shows when the passenger air bag is off.
Have seen alot of these go bad especially in police cars. The part number you need is 5W1Z-10A936-A.

You have a problem in the PAD (passenger air bad deactivation indicator) light. You will have to replace the PAD switch to correct it, you can not get the light seperate.

Hello, This can be something that really needs attention. The warning can tell you that there is a bad Impact sensor on the front bumper or that the Chemicals or contacts in one of your Airbags is not correct.
You really don't want the thing triggering your bags by accident or having a bag that will not inflate. There should be a Diagnostic plug a scanner can read. It may be something any Bump shop can attend to if you want to avoid a Dealer.
