I use my flat screen for a computer monitor it shut,s down if not used for 10 min. how can I fix it

monitor needs to be service issue might be with the motherboard pls take the monitor to service center

If you turn your monitor on and when its on you go into your computers settings. Where you can fix your monitor and fix the resolution and all that. There should be a thing there where you can put never shut off. You have it on 5 to 10 minutes to shut off. That will keep the monitor from turning off again. Have you check screen power down could be it is setup to shut down as you say after 10 mins. Access power through control panel, change settings ie to 30 mins

When you say it turns off, is the power light going out too?

If the power light is still lit when the screen blanks, it may be a faulty backlight inverter.

After 10 minutes elapse and the screen goes out, if you power it back on, do you get another 10 min, or does it last a much shorter time period, or not at all?

Your best bet is probably simply to buy a new monitor, and sell yours as "broken" on eBay, I'm sure someone out there capable of fixing it would be willing to pay pennies on the dollar to subsidize your replacement screen.

check the video card if it is properly inserted.

it will appear because you did not shut down your computer properly,try to consult to computer technician so they can fixed your computer,its not the monitor its the cpu.

Ok sounds to me like a power supply problem.. this a a fairly common symptom. I suggest that as a temporary fix you set the monitor to NOT turn the power off to the monitor in sleep mode if possible, in your power settings for the monitor.

Sounds like the monitor is overheating. The internal power supply maybe going bad. Ray
