How can I get a new EOS Digital Solution Disk ver. 24.1. My disk arrived with a crack with my camera

What version of Windows are you installing this on, or is it on a Mac?

It's possible you have an outdated version that won't work with your OS, that's especially likely if you're running Vista. Or you could just have a corrupt version. Either way, the first thing to try is downloading the newest version for your OS and installing that. Let me know if you still get an error message when trying this (and what that error message is).

I have canon powershot a420 and am having the same prob. the cd that i have isnt working and I am trying to find downloads of the same solution disk that came with the camera ... I am needing the WIA device drivers that also came with the camera when it was first bought.. they do not make this camera any more or its cds.programs ..... if any one has any information for me on this please please contact me at [email protected] tyvm ;)

Go here, http://www.sakar.com/thumbnails.aspx?categoryid=2, select the camera type you have, and then on the resultant page will be a link to download the drivers.

There is another program on the disc called Color Genie which does not appear to be available for download. It's not required to download pictures off the camera.

Call tech support at 1-877-397-8200 to get a new disc mailed to you.
