JVC DRM10 DVD Recorder Problem

Hi, I have the following problem with my DVD recorder: any time I turn it on it starts to flash the blue light where you insert the disk and, on the display, flashs the writing "loading" and it's not possible to use it.
Thank you for your help, ciao.

Our's did that too and then wouldn't even turn on- its in for service right now. Were told that after a power surge it will do that for 45 seconds as a normal reset but ours was in loading mode for a very long time 5-10 mins before it completely died...

Contact JVC @ 800-252-5722, the "loading" is a known bug and they will fix this defect at n/c even if it's out of warranty period.

I spoke with JVC and they said it only takes 2x, 4x, and 8x. It will not take anything that goes beyond 8x.

Hello

You should first ensure that all the cable connections are firmly affixed both to the dvd recorder and the tv you are trying to use it with.

Secondly - it could be due to settings on your tv that the player isnt working. Check through your TV's manual for tips on how to adjust all the settings on your tv.

If all else fails return the unit. Send it back to whereever you bought it form or if its still in warranty, back to the manufacturer.

The blinking blue light on my JVC DR-M10 will not stop and disabe

The problem with these units is the filter capacitors in the power supply. They should be removed and replaced with 25 v.dc capacitors...total cost for the capacitors £5. If you don't fancy doing the repair your self, perhaps you know of a good friend who can use a soldering iron!

The capacitors are 2200 micro farads radial mounting, 680 and 1200, all should be at least 25v dc working for a reliable recorder. The existing ones are prone to "leaking" and should never have been used...shame on you JVC!

Continuous flashing loading

Same problem here. Nothing seems to work... Pressing any key makes no difference. Disconnected the power - nothing.
