HOW DO I GET PAST A PASSWORD ON TOMTOM GO 630 I BOUGHT IT COMES UP THIS UNIT BELONGS TO AND ENTER PASSWORD

IVE BOUGHT THIS UNIT AT BOOTSALE AND IT COMES UP WITH SCREEN TO PUT PASSWORD CAN I GET ROUND IT

SOURCE: TomTom password lost / forgoten

well..the way most GPS work, is to have a user setting as an account, and a password. Is it possible that the password is associated with the former owners registration of that item? You might want to enquire if that's the case...

I have seen this twice once on a GO 630 and a GO 730, the right side of the screen is being pinched by a rubber seal under the blacke trim plate, take the GPS apart real easy to do and removed the right side of rubber seal between the plate and the screen. Have done this twice and both units work perfect.

Product codes for go 630- no maps
You need to contact either the place you bought the device or TomTom... probably the place you bought the device because they gave you a defective one. It should already have a map on it and it should ask you to "update" it when you login to TomTom home.

Hi, check out http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/ I think you'll find the PDL manual that you can save for future reference. I had the same problem, just bought a 630 at a bargain price at Comet but like you couldn't find a manual on the CD

Need help to reset a note book i bought on bootsale, i cant log on windows, it does come on, but i have to enter the password, which i dont have, help
If the password it's requesting is the BIOS password then there's not way around it. You may be able to reflash the BIOS via a program downloaded from ASUS but there's not guarantee.

If the password is Windows, the easiest way around it is to reformat the hard drive and re-install a fresh copy of windows.

When I go to pair my tomtom go 630 with my blackberry curve 8310, the blackberry finds the tomtom, but wants me to enter a passcode which I don't have. The tomtom doesn't find the blackberry at all.

Bought tomtom 3rd edition on ebay from florida Ilive in canada and have no proof were I got it . My problem is I put in a password and do not remember what it is . Tomtom customer support says they can...
If you have forgotten the password, you have to send it in to TT Support, according to this:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&query=password&FID=4616

And, yes, you have to prove that the unit belongs to you.
Can you get hold of the previous owner for original receipt?

I cant see any other solution...

it sounds like its trying to access a plus service that would require logging in. You need to perform a hard reset of the device
