The term "unlocking" when it comes to iPad means either having a password to access the device, or a process to access and change the underlying operating system. The padlock icon doesn't have anything to do with WiFi. Also, if you cannot connect to WiFi, you cannot get to Facebook, Google, or anywhere else on the Internet, in the same way that if you car wont' start, you can't go to work or your buddy's house. Your root problem isn't that your car won't go to your friend's house, it's that it won't start. SO, please re-ask the question with specifics of your root problem, which is you can't connect to WiFi. Do you know the password for your WiFi router? Can you see it listed in the wireless networks? Do you not know how to connect to WiFi in the first place?

SOURCE: my wi fi is not connected. How do I do that/

I picked 1 up for the first time and connected in 2 minutes.
In settings page where you add a wireless connection, you will need to know..
Security type, mine was wpa2 ( may be wpa/wpa2/wep)
SSID, your network name that is transmitted, mine was default
password, whatever the wireless password you chose with wpa, if you have wep, it gives you a pass key, you will need to log onto your router to get this

SOURCE: my wifi on my iPad

This sounds like a hard ware issue with you wifi antenna. Restore your device using iTunes. If it is still grayed out take it in for service at a local apple store or authorized service provider.

I have purchased the iPad Air 2 and I have the Net Gear A6300 plus

The process is fairly simple.
  • Choose the setting app on your iPad (the one with the gear icon).
  • Choose Wi-Fi
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi setting slider is green (on).
  • click on your network name under "CHOOSE A NETWORK"
  • enter your password (if necessary) for that network
Your network information will be saved and you will never have to enter that information again.

If you don't see your network, check to see if your router is working, and move closer to your wireless router to complete the settings

If you don't receive a wifi signal where you use your iPad, you might reposition your router, or move your iPad closer, or get a wifi repeater (like an Apple Airport Express) to extend your signal.

How do I get started on my new ipad?

1. Turn on your device. When you first turn on your device, you'll see "Hello" in different languages. Slide from left to right anywhere on this screen to begin.
2. Select your language and region.
3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network

You need an Internet connection to set up your device. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
4. Enable or disable Location Services. This setting lets certain apps gather information about your location.
5. Set up your device as new.
6. Agree to terms and conditions.
7. Sign in or create an Apple ID.
If you need to, you can create an Apple ID for free. Or, you can tap Skip This Step to sign in or create an Apple ID later.
8. Upgrade to iCloud Drive.
With iCloud Drive, you can store your files in iCloud and access them anytime on any supported device. Or choose Not Now to setup iCloud later.
9. Set up iMessage and FaceTime. Or choose not now to setup later.

9" Inch Google Android 4.2.2 Allwinner A23 Tablet PC Dual Core WiFi 8GB UK how do i connect to my television?

You can try this and see if it works for you:

Connect to Wi-Fi networks Some of this information applies only to devices running Android 5.0 and higher. If your device is running 4.4 or lower, the Menu icon looks like this 01640868e1517a345806b8352772a19a6aa8. If your device is running 4.3 or lower, the Settings icon looks like this snp_2918920_en_v1.
You can connect to Wi-Fi networks with your device, as well as add networks you use often or remove networks you don't use any longer. You can also change the settings for saved Wi-Fi networks on your device.
Keep in mind that your device will remember networks you connect to, along with security details, and connect automatically when in range.

Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to a network

  1. Open your device's Settings menu snp_bee8810a5fcd80173673b4b15a1804eaee99_3529219_en_v0.
  2. Under "Wireless & networks," touch Wi-Fi.
  3. Touch the Wi-Fi switch to turn it to the On position.
  4. You'll see a list of saved and available networks.
    • Secured networks display a lock icon 9708aea66a4ca95cd2dda6f363c600366de9 and ask for a password to connect.
    • Your device will remember networks it connects to and automatically connect to them when in range.
    • You can forget a saved Wi-Fi network if you don't want your device to connect to it automatically.
  5. Touch a network name from the list of available networks to connect to it.
    • Android 5.0 or higher: If the saved network you want to connect to isn't showing up in the list of networks on your screen, touch the Menu icon e0c84b16c85d9e9f1f5eb1d0111d3421b872 in the top right corner of the screen. Touch Refresh to reload the list of networks. Touch Add network and enter the network's name (SSID) and other security details, if needed. Then touch Save.
  6. Once connected, your device will say "Connected" under the network name.
Once you've connected to a network, it will show up in your Saved networks list. If you have trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, try the following steps:

Can I browse the internet on an ipad mini??

Of course. You first must be connected to the Internet via wi-fi or cellular connection (not all iPads have cellular). Once you have set that up (which is one of the first things you do when you set up an iPad), the Safari browser (the icon with the compass) and many (most?) apps connect to the Internet. Although you can look things up through the browser, many services have separate apps to perform their function, e.g. Yelp, Facebook. Apps like Weather retrieve their information from the Internet without having to go to a specific site, and apps like Notes sync your notes on the Internet (and may be available on your computer, as a result).

In fact, a large proportion of your activities on the iPad can't take place without a connection to the Internet.

Can't connect mini iPad to my wifi my other iPad is connected

Always a good idea to shut down and then turn back on (hold down both home button and power button until it turns all the way off. Wait a couple seconds, then press the power button to turn back on)

Try wireless again.

If nothing, then

Obviously check and make sure wifi is on under settings.

If still nothing,

Try resetting your network connections:
Settings > General, then tap Reset > Reset Network Settings

If you can't see any wifi networks at all, you might have a bad wifi card in the iPad. Bring back to an apple store.
