SOURCE: the pictures have horizontal lines

This is electronic shutter problem that is the reason you get blinder effect/ noise on picture. Electronic shutter is located in lens mechanism and lens assembly will be replaced to solve the issue. Nearest Samsung service center or local camera repair shop will help you to replace lens assembly.
Thanks.

Shutter lense is stuck out, want retract. Display went black. want retract and display is black.

Hi, It sounds like the lens is stuck, possibly from dropping? Either way if lighting tapping it doesn't work then unfortunately there's no way it can be fixed.

My camera was dropped and now the lens wont come out when the camera is turned on. How do I un-jam it?

I had the same problem. I took the lens housing apart. There is a little metal rod inside where a plastic guide slides on. that guide was broken. I havent been able to find a site for that specific part. A lense repair kit is to expensive i believe. It depends if you dropped it while the lens was out if that guide is the problem.

No quick or cheap fix, but definately a lens worth fixing- send it to Canon

I dropped my camera today. Seems like the lense

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

My sony camera displays Turn camera off and on again

I had exactly the same problem with my Sony Cyber_Shot. Here is what I did and the problem was fixed. While I turned the camera off, I pressed down the lense very softly (some up and down motion). After a couple of times, the lense retracted almost completely. Then I pressed a little harder until the lense retracted 100% as normal times. I turned it on everything was back to normal. If the lense does not have mechanical problem, you should be able to do what I did.
If there is no mechanical problem, most likly some dirt got on the sides of the lense while it was open. Try keep it very clean always.

Good luck;

I have a SANYO VPC-T1060 i accidentally dropped it and it turned off with the camera lense out , i tried to turn it on but it wont

Usually when a digital camera has lens issues, they will turn on very briefly, then turn off. Try holding the bottom button in on the lcd side as you push the power button to see if your camera will display stored pictures. My daughter dropped her boyfriends 1060 in muddy water the other day and I cleaned it enough to get it to show pictures but couldn't get the lens to work. A drop or a speck of dirt will stop the lens from working. Haven't had much luck getting lens unstuck, but have replaced the lens unit, usually better to buy new camera unless you are very handy and can find a 1060 with a good lens and bad LCD, which I have done a few times. Looking on Ebay, most of the 1060's being sold 'as is' have bad lens and good LCD's......not good for us....hope this helps.

I dropped my camera on the groud, and now the lense will not come out at at all??? idk wat to do.. havent even had it for a year.

If you have a good warranty, time to cash it on it. Your camera's worth dropped about 50%. It will most likely be the same price to fix as it is to sell it. You can try to yank the lens back into its socket. I have done it before myself. I can usually get it back in, but it will usually not be good as new afterwords. =[

Lens won't in on camera and makes clicking sound.

When you dropped your camera, some dirt got on the outside of the lense or some mechanical part of the lense broke or dislocated. If some of the mechnical part of the lense is damaged, you need to open up the lense from the camera and inspect the parts. Look for loose parts, then clean it and put it back.
I had the same problem with my sony Cyber-shop, but it was not dropped. somehow one or more small piece of dirt got on the outside of the lense. Here is what I did and the problem was fixed for good.
While turning the camera off, I pressed on the lense (up and down motion) softly. After a few times, the lense retracted 95% of the normal retracted position. I then, pressed the lense a little harder in untill it was fully retracted. It has been working okay since then.

You should always keep the outside of the lense clean and do not drop it.

Good luck

Focus error displayed after a drop its one of the finepix range there basicaly all the same

have you tried to gently pull and twist the end of the lense when it is extended?
unfortunatley when these cameras are dropped they can cause the lense to become unaligned and create a focus error if twissting dosent help it would need to be sent away for repair to have the lenses realligned but it wont be covered by warrenty
