Bleach can be placed in your middle compartment, where you would normally pllace your fabric softener.
SOURCE: When I put bleach in
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I suspect that it is the conditioner/softener (bleach?) tray which is causing water to overflow from the dispenser drawer so it needs a thorough clean, paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD ;-0)
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
One of those should enable you remove it
???
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Use a container, such as a plastic milk carton, and dilute your bleach before adding it to the tub. I wait until it has finished filling with water before adding. The diluted bleach/water mix will not hurt colors. I add about 1/4 cup to a couple quarts of water, actually putting the bleach into the container and using the water flow to mix it thoroughly.
First rub some bleach around the door gasket. Let this dry. Next rub some vinegar around the door gasket. Let this dry. (Do NOT mix the bleach and vinegar) Then run a hot empty load of bleach in all three dispensers. Put 1/2 cup of bleach in the detergent dispenser and fill the softener and bleach dispenser to the max fill line with bleach. Once that is done repeat the process with vinegar. Please make sure you run a load of towels or some sort of items that will not matter if you get a little bleach on them once this process is done.
