IT is the timer. If electronic needs to replace the board. If dial type, needs the timer

SOURCE: Whirpool dryer won't heat up

You need to replace the thermal fuse and the timer. A bad timer will over draw a thermal fuse and cause it to blow.

Please remember to unplug the dryer before servicing

SOURCE: No heat not drying clothes

for safety reasons it has its own fuse and that may be your issue (new fuse $5)
To be safe i'd also get new thermostat ($15)

SOURCE: Kenmore 70 Series Dryer Model# 110.64742400

check the thermal fuse if it is blown also change the high limit thermal cut-off fuse www.repairclinic.com shows your parts. go there and enter model number. Also check the heat element. to get into it remove the lint filter and the two screws you'll see there then pry the top up at the front corners. And through the back you should find the heat element and blower housing and thermal fuse and high limit fuse and cycling thermostat.

Sometimes I have to run my dryer multiple times to get my clothes dried

Check your vent and vent hose for restrictions. Even a tiny air restriction will cause the thermostats to shut down quicker and take longer to dry the clothes. If you use softener wash out the filter well because the screen will clog up. Set the control to MORE DRY. Dry cottons on timed settings for maximum heat.

Estate TGDS680EQ3 gas dryer blows cold

The timer is stripped inside and needs to be replaced. The cogged teeth are made of plastic and a tooth or two has broken off keeping the timer from moving while running

My electric dryer heats up but doesnt dry the clothes

If your vent hose is more than about ten feet long, your dryer may not have enough pressure to keep the air moving sufficiently to dry the clothes. Is it possible you are simply over loading your dryer?
