When connected to Gmail on your smart phone, set up a secondary email address. This is an email address that Gmail can use when you have a problem with your primary Gmail address.

After setting up the secondary email address, try to connect to your primary Gmail address using your laptop.

After you receive a message that you are locked out, there will be an option for Gmail to send you an "unlock" link in an email to the secondary email address.

What is that gmail account you need to access? Yours? someone else's.
If it is your account, you have full access. Your say you can sign in to it. If it is not your account and you NEED to access it because of your job (police for example) ask a judge to sign an authorization.
