Unless you have a degree in electronics. or you are a skilled electronic repair engineer, I don't think you can repair this one.
And even a repair centre could come to the conclusion this one can't be repaired. There is no such thing as a reset button, making all colours bright again. Just ask a repair centre if it can be repaired and what it will cost. Then you decide if you want a repair, or start saving for a new TV.

There are some ideas in one of the links but requires a lot of technical skill. One of the boards, or components on boards are failing. You could open it up and check for bulging capacitors, but do you have the equipment and skills to remove and re-solder them back in? The only think you can try is a Power Reset.
Unplug the set are the wall for 15 minutes. Press and hold the On button on the television (as opposed to remote) for 12 seconds as you plug it back in.
some computers will fade the screen automatically when on battery power. on windows systems, you can change those settings (normally) by going to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings (beside the option in use) -> change advanced power settings -> Display (see screen shot)
Hi Kath,
I expect you have it sorted by now.
I think you might have had one off the developer tanks stuck or broken. If the developer roller does not turn then the colour quickly fades along the page. If you tried to do a test page and that was good then there was nothing wrong with that side of things.
Good luck.
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.
It sounds that the screen voltage [G2 voltage] is more than normal. Try it by adjusting the screen control pot-meter. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts.
return the LCD to seller and ask for replacement. LCD colors should be even from top to bottom. test it with plain color as a background such as blue so you can easily see the faded portion.
