Changing the fuel filter
Make a hook out of wire about 7inches long open gas tank it should be empty, look in there should be a little black hose with fuel filter on it hook hose work it out to replace filter

A hooked piece of wire through the gas cap will allow you to withdraw and remove the filter. A typical fuel system and a couple of suggestions follow:

At this point I like to provide an IPL that displays all fuel components and makes a good disassembly guide. Stihl considers all OE parts, IPLs and shop manuals proprietary. When they find an on-line source they force it be removed. Please contact them and request an IPL here:

hey have the same o25 stihl,great saw when their working right.have had to replace fuel line to carb 5x over 7yrs.hairline crrack and it will **** air and conk out in 2-5 seconds.also there is a pulse line to carb which can also crack.if you have good spark at plug its likely a fuel delivery problem. collin
