LG front load washer WM2277HW. ''LE'' Error code

I have an LG front load washer WM2277HW. When running a load of wash the tub will start to fill with water then attempt to spin but will not as it appears locked. At this point I hear an electronic hum but the tub will not spin. After a period of time an error code of ''LE'' will appear on the display.

First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error:

The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!
In the US, find a service provider using your zip code at http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp or call LG at 800-243-0000

Make sure hall sensor is snapped in to correct location and is secure. Take a look at repair videos from repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com for guidance. And the error code is "LE" for sure not "tE" which is sometimes confused between the two.

GETTING AN ERROR CODE - LE ON MY WM2277HW

A common reason for an LE code is choosing a high spin speed on a bulky/ very heavy load. Try a cycle with a lower spin speed. If you still get the LE code, especially if it does not even do the wash tumbling, then replace the Hall sensor on the motor.

WM2277HW LG washer, not doing anything but filling with water and

Could be a few things, but start by, opening the lower front left panel (use a large flat screw driver or knife to pop it open), drain the tub (using the stoppered hose on the left) and then unscrew the filter. See if there is anthing stuck in here. If not, you could have a bad pump (there are two - one for recycling water back into the tub and one for draining).

LG WM2277HW washer LE error

I was also having the LE error problem. I tried removing the unpumped water , tried re-running the load etc....... then I decided to try something else.... just like we have to restart our computers, I thought about resetting the washer so to speak......not sure if it is fixed, I am going to try running another load, but, I UNPLUGGED THE WASHER, LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS, THEN PLUGGED BACK IN.... AND THE WASHER WENT THROUGH A CYCLE AND FINISHED.

LD WM2277HW message problem

Press "end of cycle". Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of several issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, see that all wires are tightened..........
