The right hand side of my screen just disappeared the other day. i have 2/3 of a screen but nothing on the entire right hand side

The TCON board or the LCD panel is faulty. Can confirm By replacing the TCON board.

t con board failed if its half and half. can also be a lose cable on the screen to the tcon board from the lcd screen side. Tcon is in the middle off the screen on the back.

Open the front Panel, On the extreme right hand side there is a white colour button, press it hard for 2 minutes, make sure your AC power it switch on, the clean filter light will disappear.
Do this only after cleaning, drying and reinstalling your filer net.

Hi Jessica.

You have you graphics card resolution set too high. I assume you are using some version of Windows. If so, right click the desktop and left click properties (Windows XP), click the advanced tab and reduce the slider to 1024 x 768 and apply the settings. If using Vista or Windows-7, right click desktop and left click screen resolution and select the above setting. This shoud correct the panning issue and give you your entire screen back. You may not have ot rep;ace the entire screen or the backlight on one side of the screen if you open it up there is a inverter board make sure the connection wires from the main board to the inverter are not pinched from opening and closing the lid.

This seems to be an old post, anyway go into system preferences From the apple logo (top left) and check your DOCK settings.

I'm not an expert, but I have determined that the vertical bars that are often red, sometimes blue ... and sometimes both ... are related to a bad control board. I've also read that a common fix is to buy a repair kit with includes the ysus, zsus and control boards ... all replaced together. My experience was that after a month or two with the 1.5" wide stripes, that you eventually loose the entire picture and have sound only. MIne comes back, but won't stay working for very long and the stripes are always there (buy used to fade and flicker sometimes). I'm planning on replacing the control board.

Hi Bj, Is it an aftermarket video-card? If it is, like ATI or Nvidia, Download the recent drivers for your particular card, Uninstall your Videocard from device manager, then install the software.
