My Kodak easyshare M341 camera shuts down if I attempt to zoom in too far. It's OK at W and about two-thirds of the way to T but after that it shuts off. It never makes it to digital zoom. I've used compressed air to try to clean the camera without any luck. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: My screen reads "camera error # E21"

On my LS 743 Kodak Camera, that error refers to a lens mechanism problem. I was able to fix it by removing my front cover which had be come dented inward and short circuited some wiring. Re-shaping the cover fixed the problem. This will probably void your warranty...

SOURCE: Zoom out and it shuts down

Don't think you'll have to send it in for repair. How old is your battery? Keep in mind that it isn't meant to last for more than a year or two, regardless of how often it is used. A camera will automatically shut down if its battery power is getting low. This usually occurs when the camera is doing power intensive actions, such as zooming (it uses a motor). Anyways, Amazon has some generic options for you if your battery may be over-the-hill:

SOURCE: Hi... I have a Kodak EasyShare CD82 Digital

Sherry, have you tried to replace the battery of your camera? The recommended battery for your camera are the Ni-MH battery and the Alkaline battery. Now if you already using this type of battery and still your LCD screen is black its time for you to call Kodak at 1 800 235 6325 ext 12, it means that the LCD screen of the camera is already defective.

Maybe, the batteries need to be changed to new ones.
Try to use Li ion batteries as recommended by Kodak.

Yes, assuming the computer's USB port puts out enough current to do so. Not all USB ports do so.

Is my M341 charging if the light comes on green, then blinks red a few times, then goes off????

How can i make my kodak easyshare m341 into a web cam?

How good are you with a soldering iron? :-)

The M341 was designed as a camera, to store images and videos to memory. It was not designed to stream video live to another device.
