If this is new then you need to contact your local Epson support who should be able to give you the advice you need, try googling to find the support number of your local office.
If the technician who changed your hard drive was able to transfer ("clone") the system from your old drive, all you need to do is plug your printer/scanner in and it should work. If he was not able to do this and you have a new Windows installation, you need to use the CD that came with the printer to re-install it. Just connect up the printer to the computer BUT DO NOT TURN THE PRINTER ON UNTIL TOLD TO. Start the computer and when Windows has loaded, put the CD in the CD drive. The CD should start the installation process - just follow the instructions. If you do not have a CD, download the necessary installation software from the Epson website.If you don't know how to do this, report back and I will provide more help.

PRINTER DRIVER DOWNLOAD
Please follow these steps to set up your Epson product and automatically download the Windows Vista printer driver for it from Microsoft:
1. Connect the USB cable to your computer and then to your Epson product.
2. When the FOUND NEW HARDWARE window appears, select Locate and Install Driver Software (Recommended).
3. Your Epson product drivers will install automatically. You may need to select this option more than once during installation.
4. Close any open windows on your screen.
5. Try printing.
*NOTE: -Depending on your system the computer may ask for your Windows disk, if so insert your Windows CD into your CD-ROM drive and click OK. -As the driver is part of Windows Vista, there is no Status Monitor available for your printer. Some printers may have an INK LEVELS options included as part of the resident driver. Otherwise, the printer does have its own indicators. The LCD will display which cartridge is either low or out of ink. -If the ink levels do not appear, click GET INK LEVELS to refresh the driver. Ensure the printer is directly connected to the computer as the Ink Levels does rely on full bidirectional communication.
SCANNER DRIVER DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION
1. Go to the Epson Support website (www.epson.com/support).
First U have to uninstall any programs installed by first mouse... control panel - add/remove programs.
Leave the new mouse attached.
Then U have to uninstall the old wireless mouse device...
control panel - system - hardware - devices
Reboot... when it detects the device, load the driver for the new mouse from the new mouse cd.
U can load any programs U want from the new mouse cd after insuring the mouse works.
You must surely have sorted this one out by now Doris! However, if you haven't, how to change print cartridges on a
DX7450 is very clearly explained in the user handbook (on the CD that
came with your printer). Insert the CD and select "Custom Install" then "Users Guide". Once its installed, double click the new Epson Icon on your screen and selct "Printing" then "Replacing Ink Cartridges". If you don't have a CD, download the User's Guide from the Epson website at http://www.epson.com - just choose your locale, then select Get Drivers and Support - Printers.

3. Select and download the TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility for Windows Vista. Save the file to your desktop and make a note of the file name in order to easily retrieve it.
4. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
If a message appears indicating “The scanner has not passed Windows Logo testing”, click Continue Anyway. Then click Finish.
5. Re-start your computer before testing the scanner software.
