Many people say to push and hold down the Volume(+) and Power button at the same time. Push and hold for as long as twenty seconds until you see a green android with green text.
But, on some devices and some Android O/S versions it takes pushing and holding the Volume(-) and Power button and holding them both down for twenty seconds or so or until you see the green Android and text screen. This will show the Wipe Data/Factory reset option. Select this option by scrolling using the Volume(+) button and engage using the power button. Some devices give you a second screen with a list of *no no no no no* and one line of Factory Reset. Again, scroll to the Reset option using the Volume(+) option and select it using the power button.
If the above doesn't work, either your battery is dead or your device is dead.
Go into the Settings app. Near the bottom you will see Developer Options. Scroll down through the developer options to see if "Show Touches" or "Pointer Location" are checked. If they are, uncheck them.
Hi. There is corrupt data on the Proscan 7. First of all if you have an SD card in the slot remove it and turn the Android on to see if it boots. If i does then you didn't have it inserted properly or its corrupt. If is still shows a Android laying down then follow the procedure below.
1. IF YOUR TABLET IS ON, POWER IT OFF.
2. PRESS AND HOLD POWER UNTIL THE DEVICE POWERS ON, THEN IMMEDIATELY
PRESS AND HOLD VOLUME DOWN (WHILE STILL PRESSING POWER). YOU WILL SEE
THE WORD START WITH AN ARROW DRAWN AROUND IT.
3. PRESS VOLUME DOWN TWICE TO DESIGNATE RECOVERY MODE.
4. PRESS POWER TO RESTART INTO RECOVERY MODE. YOU WILL SEE AN IMAGE OF
AN ANDROID ROBOT WITH A RED EXCLAMATION MARK.
5. WHILE HOLDING DOWN POWER, PRESS VOLUME UP.
6. USE THE VOLUME KEYS TO SCROLL TO "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" AND PRESS
POWER TO SELECT IT.
7. SCROLL DOWN TO "YES - ERASE ALL USER DATA" AND PRESS POWER TO SELECT
IT.
Here is a link to ASUS support for you pad. you will need to put in the OS, and then scroll down and you will see manual. In my case 43 were available. Eglish was the second one down. Follow the instruction on the page, it looks like you have to do this via your phone.
Go to acer.com click on support then download. You next need to select your device to go to its support page. Tablet, then Iconia Tab then W500P then click on image of your tablet. Under DOCUMENT scroll down to find the user manual. You have to scroll down or it doesn't show on the listing. Click on the orange download button at the left of the line listing and the zipped user manual ile will start to download. Your browser will either ask where to save this to or will put it where you have specified under browser options. I you save it to a place you can recall or to your desktop then you can extract the files usually just by clicking on them. Inside will be a pdf file which is your user manual which you will need something like Acrobat reader (free from Adobe) to use to read this file. If the second part of this works that will be the direct link to the user file and you might be able to download it using that.
Try the following:
1. Check if the on/off button on your touch pad is turned on.
2. Restart the computer by pressing ALT+F4 until you get a shut down screen and then using arrow keys to scroll to restart.
3. If still not working, try reinstalling your touch pad drivers from the disk you got with your computer (connect an external mouse to do so, if not introduced to keyboard shortcuts).
Good luck and please rate if something helps.
