What is broken on a Sony Bravia KDL-37XBR6 when the tv won't come on and the standby light flashes 6 times? We would like to try repairing it ourselves.

I must inform you that most of the wireless headphones has an automatic shut-off which puts it in stand-by when there is no sound going in to it. Or if the sounds in the tv is too quiet the headphones will think you have finished using it.

What you need to do is increase the volume setting of the TV. And turn the volume control on the headphones down then as well - assuming that your headphone base unit is connected to the headphone socket of the TV.
