The wall adapter may be bad or the battery inside your dyson could be bad, do you know someone that has experience with a VOM? They could tell you which part is wonky.

ring dyson for support it could be the micro particle filter is blocked up and needs cleaning.

If you have a DC voltmeter and can see the contacts in the charger, you may be able to see it the charger has a output. But with the newer electronics for battery charging, the battery may need to be in the charger to get a reading. My guess is you do have a bad charger.

It would be worth temporarily disconnecting and removing the charger cord from the docking station and plugging it directly into the machine - the machine should recharge fully within 3.5 hours. If the machine then works as normal the charger cord may not have been corrected fitted to the docking station.
