Write www.facebook.com on address bar. After writing this once, your browser will remember the address when you start writing in the future. Or you can set it as home page, by opening browser settings.

Hi,
it's not recommended by Facebook that you delete your account, but you may de-activate it:

Once you've logged in to your Facebook account and you're on http://www.facebook.com/ABCWorldNewsNow?v=wall (World News Now FB page), you need to click the Like button before you'll be able to write a post. Once you've Liked World News Now, you'll see a Write Something field displayed at the top of the page.
