Fault Code 37 Intuitive Washer -

Hi having a problem with my fisher and paykel intuitive. Fault code 37.

We have pulled the machine apart and when it goes to spin.. it keeps pumping the water back into the machine rather then out to drain.

The pump is not blocked and is working just pumping water back into machine until Fault Code 37 appears..

HELPPPPP!! :)

    Hi Ssantucc and jriley,

Thanks for your help. But we have checked everything and pulled the machine right apart and checked for any blockages.. a bit of rubbish but nothing major.. have also blown the bose ou with an air compressor.. definately nothing there.

We also replaced the diverter valve... thinking that was the problem.. and put it all back together but getting the same fault code..

The only thing I can thing of is that the computer has to be reset or something... its like the machine doesnt know how to pump the water out... any other ideas?

Hi thanks for your help... but we have pulled the whole machine apart and use an air compressor to blow out the hose.. a bit of rubbish but nothing major..

ALSO we replaced the diverter thinking that that was the problem.. looked burnt out and put it back together and still the same code.. Water still pumping back into the machine.

Its like the computer isnt telling the machine to do pump water out??? Does the computer need to be reset?

You have to replace the control board- its shorted and stuck on

Alternatively, unplug the diverter and only use permanent press.

The pump Is unable to pump out because there may be a blockage in the outer bowl.eg sock or hankie. Also no more than a one metre hose length is advisable.Hope this helps Kind Regards.

hi there You mentioned you changed the diverter valve and it looked like it was burnt out ,If that was the case it may be possible that something has gone open circuit in the main board. The diverter electrical is a thermal coeifficeint and when it goes open it can cause problems in the main board. The diverter should have a resistance of between0.7k ohms &2.5kohms and disregard anything outside these values.Kind Regards.

Check your drain hose, it should only be about 3-4" down the standpipe, you might be siphoning

Code 37 -

Hi,

To my knowledge, Error Code 37 on a Fisher & Paykel machine refers to "drain fault" which could either mean that the drain valve will not open or that the drain pump will not run. The easiest user intervention that could be performed is to check for any blockage/clog at the drain filter, drain pipe, drain pump impeller and drain valve.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Top loading intuitive washer says fault code 37

This machine calls this error number for most faults.
So first let us know what stage it stops at.
The most common fault is blockage in the pump.
Remove the power plug, disconnect the 2 water hoses and tilt the machine onto its front.
It is simple to remove and replace. Disconnect the 2 sockets from the pump The pump is held in position by a latch on the left hand side. Depress the latch and twist the pump anti clockwise. Clean out , add a smear of vaseline to the rubber ring.
Reassemble in reverse

Our Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine is not spinning. It gets to the spin cycle and sits there counting down. The fault code eventually said Service fault 37. What does that mean?

Emptied washer, tipped it on its side, detached drainage pipes underneath, and pulled out old fabric/lint/blockage with tweezers. Plugged in, switched on, all good.
