You need to recalibrate your touchscreen. If the screen can not be recalibrated, then it needs to be replaced. Please see this link on how to recalibrate your touchscreen:
Dust the keyboard to remove any debris. If that doesn't work, re-seat the keyboard. This requires disassembling much of the laptop. www.ifixit.com has great guides on how to complete this for every model of mac laptop.
Laptop or desktop keyboard? If it is a laptop keyboard your only real solution is to blow it out. For desktop, unplug and replug the keyboard, if that doesn't work then pop off the key carefully using something thin like a nail file or flat head screw driver, remove any crud that might be built up. Be sure to not pull off tooo violently as certain designs of keyboards have little mechanical arms that can break if you're not careful.
unplug the keyboard, go to the manufacturers website and download and install the drivers, plug the keyboard back in.
If that doesn't work
check your device manager and see what keyboards are in the keyboard section. delete anything but the hid keyboard device and the standard ps2/2 keyboard from the keyboard section. repeat the first set of instructions
Try removing Keyboard connector an reseating it. (4420s - Some scews under battery and possibly 1 near rear of each hinge - remove. Flip unit over and slide Speaker grill panel toward front of unit. There should then be a few screws that hold the keyboard at the top edge 2 or 3. Remove and you should see the connector. ) If this doesn't work you have faulty keyboard.
If the keyboard has a round purple connector, power down the computer then unplug and then plug in the keyboard. Power on the computer. If it works your done if it doesn't replace the keyboard. If this is a USB keyboard, with the computer on, unplug and plug in the keyboard if it works great, if it still isn't working replace the keyboard. NOTE if this is a multi functional keyboard (special keys at the top) make sure you install the driver and any software associated with the keyboard.
if the keyboard is plugged in to the computer correctly, & it still doesn't work then it's time for a new keyboard, it's like any other part of the computer sometimes even the keyboards go out
some of these were not manufactured correctly and wont work with any computer. if it doesn't plug in and work either A. in the bios the USB keyboard is not enabled or B. faulty keyboard thats why they are virtually indestructible not here in the real world! But there are no drivers for these as they come built in. Do any lights light up on it like the caps lock or anything?
Hi, You don't have say in details. but I'll try to solve your problem. If both are not working then detach them both and replugged again to the system. Then reboot the system. If it doesn't work then check the device manager settings and external device settings in Bios settings. If those device are wireless then check first the receiver battery and change the battery. Better if you can place another set of keyboard & mouse to the system to confirm that there don't any problem or not getting hang the system. If it doesn't solve your problem then go to the nearest service center for repair or purchase a new.
