Philips HTS 6600/12 Home Theatre System HDMI does not open the DVD door.
DVD sledges work by a rubber belt that in your case might have broke or come off. It's very easy to replace. Find the original belt. Measure the diameter in MM (approx) and do a Google search for "Drive belt XX MM".
Get the nearest to your size.

Stuck in Progressive Scan? Can hear movie but Can't see Video?
Here's the scenario:

All cables hooked up correctly.

System is stuck in Progressive scan (P-SCAN on display viewer)

SITUATION:  You can hear the movie playing, and you are certain all connections are correct.  Your Television may not support Progressive Scan Video so all you hear is the Audio Track.  Here's what to do.

SOLUTION:

Step 1: Remove DVD from player.

Step 2: Unplug from power source for 20-30 seconds, plug back into outlet.

Step 3: You need to press two buttons at the exact same time.

Step 3a: Prepare to press #1 on your HTS remote
Step 3b: Prepare to press OPEN/CLOSE button on your HTS.

Step 4: Press both OPEN/CLOSE button and #1 on your remote at the same time and HOLD until P-SCAN on your HTS display turns off. Should take no more then 20 seconds max.

Step 5: Repeat all if human error occured and no improvement. Or call 1-888-PHILIPS for HTS tech support

Microwave oven will not start but the light stays on even when door is open.
One of the micro switches in the door is stuck ( faulty ) there are normally 3 switches so after removing the lid open and close the door and you will see the door latches pressing in the button of the micro switch and one of them would indicate that one of the switches is not in line with the latch to press the button in or one of the micro switches has melted inside cosign the switch to release normally open or normally closed, you need a multimeter to test the switches in that case

I have filled dishwasher selected temperature and the start light is flashing but nothing happens I think the m/c type is 7197
The Start/Resume light is flashing

This flashing light indicates that your cycle or start-up was interrupted.
Possible causes: The door opened during the cycle, or the power was interrupted.
To resume operation: Make sure the door is closed, and press Start/Resume.

The Clean light is flashing

You should call for service if the Clean light is flashing and the machine is inoperable. It is normal if the Clean light stays on after the cycle is complete. The Clean light is an indication that the dishwasher has been run and that the dishes inside it are clean. Once the door is opened after the cycle is complete, the light will shut off.

The lights are rapidly flashing

Any key that gets stuck will rapidly flash. Press the key a few times in order to release it or press Cancel.

The Rinse Only light is rapidly flashing

If multiple keys are stuck, the Rinse Only light will flash. Press each key, one at a time, to release the stuck keys, or press cancel.

Printer indicates paper jam every few pages, but there is no paper anywhere in the paper path. If I open the top cover and close it, it will print a few more pages, then indicate another paper jam
Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

1998 Sienna Back Door Latch
I had the same problem. I found solution on internet at following link:

I purchased the back door latch from Toyota dealer for $68 + taxes and replaced according to the instruction given at the above link. It takes less than 30 minutes to replace it. Thanks to the nice people for sharing the knowledge. The dealer quoted over $300 for the same.

- after the door opens perform the following sequence with the remote control:

Press STOP-7-3-4-4-6-6

a Region settings page will be displayed showing the current region on the TV (usually the default is region 1), using the remote control select the region number by pressing the number on the remote (select region 0 for region free) and press OK.
