Turned tv off by remote last night , then when I got up today I used the remote to turn it back on . I thought maybe batteries in remote so I changed them then went to search code then hit tv button then power button several times ti9ll light blinked then hit enter , tried again , but it still won't come on ? I turned the television around to see the back to see if it has a reset button ,but it does not . I even unplugged the t v for a while then plugged it back in but No picture or sound except from back a high pitch bearly audible noise from inside the4 chassie . what should I do ?

Yes,it can be repaired,sometimes for no reason components fail and they need to be replaced,if you are familiar with tv service you can check the horizontal output transistor,it might have gone bad(shorted out)and is all is going to take to get the set back running,sometimes the output trasformer damages the transistor and both have to be replaced,first just change the transistor and if it blows up again then replace the transformer,if you are not too familiar with servicing a tv be safe and call for assistance from a servicer,if you take the set to them it should be expensive.Let Us know how it goes or if you need more information.

The first thing in this unit is to check the ribbon cable that goes from the front control panel to the back ssb board, I would unplug and replug to make sure seated properly. Then try it again. There are alot of screws to take out but worth it if this solves the problem.
