Set up urc4640b00, found LG code 0056.....what di I do now?

You can start here http://codesforuniversalremotes.com/remote-control-codes-for-lg-tvs/
This may also have your information; https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-universal-remote-codes-for-an-LG-TV

Otherwise, try this.
1.On the remote control, press TV once
2.Press and hold SET until the LED (red light) blinks twice,
then release SET.
3.Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The LED will blink twice.
4.Aim the remote control at the TV and slowly alternate

(after pressing POWER). If the device does not have a Power
key, you can substitute another function, such as digits 0 ~ 9 ,
CH, or PLAY).
NOTE: In the search mode, the remote control will send IR codes from
its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code

Trying to program direct tv remote to sceptre tv

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

Need code for sceptre tv

If you wish to buy a genuine remote control, you have to contact the authorized service center. If you wish to buy a universal remote control, you should know about, which brand remote control have set-up codes to your TV brand, and buy that one according to availability. The first thing you have to do is, to confirm the number of digits in the setup codes to your TV brand. There are 4 digit, 5 digit, 3 digit and even 2 digit codes. You can make it sure by entering '0s' at the code enter window the TV dispays, and asks codes. Enter 'Zeros', and count how many zeros can be enterd. That number will be the number of digit of setup code, the TV/Device need. If you can enter 5 zeros, the number of digit in the set-up code to your TV is a '5' digit one, if only 2 zeros can be enterd, the number of digits in the set-up code to your TV should be a 2 digit one, and so on.. If you wish to get more details about this, try the sites linked here.
If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts. Check the site in 'Mosaic' view. It will make search easy.

I have a Sceptre 46 in. LCD TV. It worked fine with Comcast until 4:00 AM EST last Wednesday, when it turned itself on. I came into the living room and saw the display on the COMCAST DVR flashing on and...

Try reprogramming the remote the code for scepter is
10889 if you have a RED ok select button on your remote or if you have a DARK SILVER remote

Brand: Sceptre

Most likely code: 10889

  1. Turn on a device (e.g., VCR or DVD Player) and, if applicable, insert media, (e.g., video cassette or disc).
NOTE: Please read steps 2 to 6 completely before proceeding. Highlight or write down the codes and device you wish to program before moving on to step 2
  2. On the remote control, press a device key once (i.e., or TV).
NOTE: Use the AUX key to program control of an Audio Amplifier or Receiver, a DVD Player, a Home-Theater-In-A-Box Device, a PVR (or DVR), or a VCR.
  3. Press and hold Setup until the selected mode key blinks twice, then release Setup.
  4. Locate the code for your device in Manufacturer's Codes listed below. Brands are listed in alphabetical order with the most popular codes listed first.
  5. Enter the first five-digit code for your device. If you perform this procedure correctly, the selected mode key will blink twice.
NOTE: If you enter an invalid code, the selected mode key will display one long blink and exit the programming mode. Repeat steps 2 to 5 with a valid code.
  6. Aim the remote control at your device and press Power once. The device should turn off. If it does not respond, repeat steps 2 to 6, trying each code listed for your brand until you find one that works. If it still does not work, try Searching For Your Code.
NOTE: If the device does not have a Power key, press the (Play) key

INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED FOR THE SHARPER IMAGE - JUMBO UNIVERSAL REMOTE

Hello kls1996... programming your remote is rather easy. The easiest way (thanks to The Sharper Image Jumbo Remote being a LEARNING SMART remote) is to do the following:

1 - Point the head of your Sharper Image remote at the head of your Sanyo TV remote (nose to nose so the clear bulbs on each remote are facing each other).

2 - Press the "TV" button on your Sharper Image remote (located in the upper left-hand corner).

3 - Hold the "LEARN" button on your Sharper Image remote (located in the left edge under the volume buttons) until the red light flashes.

4 - Press the key on your Sharper Image remote (e.g. Volume Up or +VOL)... the red light will go solid (indicating that it is waiting for a signal from the other (in your case Sanyo) remote.

5 - Press the key on your other remote (in your case the Sanyo remote) that you want programmed in your new Sharper Image remote... the red light will flash rapidly again.

6 - Repeat step #4 until you have programmed each key.

7 - When done... press the "LEARN" key on your Sharper Image remote. Your Sharper Image remote should be programmed to operate your device (in this case, your Sanyo TV).

NOTE: You can program other devices such as your VCR, DVD, VHS, SAT, CABLE, etc. and not just one device.

INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED FOR THE SHARPER IMAGE - JUMBO UNIVERSAL REMOTE

The "auto" mode isn't quite presented correctly in the documentation or posts I've seen...after MUCH trial and error (and about 3 hous) I've been able to set-up ANY infrared device, either by "auto" or learn. (Although maybe not "fully".)

AUTO Method

1. Press & Hold (about 3 sec.) the [DEVICE] button on the JUMBO Remote....llight will stay solid.
2. Now just press the [POWER] button (only) ONCE while pointing at the device...it will start sending codes approximately every second. (Don't keep pressing the power button as instructions indicate.)
3. TIMING IS EVERYTHING HERE. (It may take 5 minutes to find your devices code.)
4. AS SOON AS the power goes off...press the [ENTER] button on the JUNBO Remote.
5. Now pressing the [POWER] button should power up/down the device.

---- any buttons not programmed will have to be handled using the LEARN method ---

LEARN Method

1. Press & Hold (about 3 sec.) the [DEVICE] button on the JUMBO Remote....it'll stay solid.
2. Press the [LEARN] button on the JUMBO Remote. (light will immediately blink rapidly.)
3. Now Press the {NEEDED} button to program. (light will stay solid)
4. Now (1 to 2 inches away) have the ORIGINAL Remote pointed at the JUMBO Remote and press the {DESIRED} button on the ORIGINAL Remote.
5. It blinks rapidly while sending...then a slower steady blink once "LEARNED" correctly.

*** Not all buttons work properly with the "LEARN method". Some you will need to "associate" with an alternate button on the JUMBO Remote. ***

I sincerely hopes this helps anyone & everyone.
