I am not sure, often there is an internal thermal protector but easiest would be to contact the manufacturer or a serfvice center and ask the question.

My Kitchen Aid mixer flashed a spark and banged whilst I was using it. The plug fuse has not blown but the mixer does not work.

Could be anything, but could be the switch, the electronics board, motor windings, the carbon brushes or worn insulation somewhere. Odd that the plug fuse didn't blow. It needs electrical diagnosis to find out what went wrong.

Stand cake mixer not working. No power when turn knob think water got inside. You think a fuse is out or something? Can it be fixed?

If your stand cake mixer is not working and you suspect that water may have entered the device, it's possible that a fuse or other electrical component may have been affected. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:
  1. Unplug the mixer: As a safety precaution, unplug the mixer from the power source before attempting any troubleshooting or repairs.
  2. Let it dry: If water has indeed entered the mixer, allow it to dry thoroughly before attempting to use it again. Place the mixer in a warm and dry environment for a few days to ensure all moisture has evaporated. Do not attempt to use the mixer while it is still wet, as it can be dangerous.
  3. Check for visible damage: Once the mixer is dry, carefully inspect the external components for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt marks or loose wires. Pay close attention to the power cord and the area where it connects to the mixer.
  4. Check the fuse: Some mixers may have a fuse that protects against electrical issues. Refer to the user manual or consult the manufacturer's website to determine if your mixer has a fuse and its location. If the fuse is accessible, check to see if it has blown and replace it if necessary. Use the recommended fuse rating specified by the manufacturer.
  5. Seek professional help: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the manufacturer's customer support or consult a qualified appliance technician. They will have the expertise and knowledge to diagnose and repair any internal electrical problems safely.

I have a hl200 mixer that wont start. What do I check

The power supply, like mains, plug and cable. then the on of switch or button. To check the motor, you have to open it, but I think you better leave that to a tech.

Have a PVi8B mixer that has stopped working suddenly. Doesn't do anything when you flip the switch to "ON" are there fuses that could be the problem?

Does the blue power light come on when you switch it on? There is a 5amp fuse in the supply cable.Open the wall socket plug of the supply cable (unplugged of coarse) and check fuse and connections. With a multimeter check continuity of the three wires from the plug to the other end of the cable. If this is all good then you have an internal fault. There are fuses internally as well but this should be refered to a qualified technician.

Wooden spoon killed the motor!

these mixers use an electronic triac(to vary the speed of the mixer) of such low amperage that they run hot normally(to wear OUT), and they don't fuse the units electronics or motor anymore so anything that binds them will short out the triac or motor winding(from heat) and make them inoperable, try and order(what they call) an internal electronic part from these companies and good luck, I tried for 3 months and told them what I needed, they agreed this part was defective, but they wont sell you an internal part(LIABILITY ISSUE) unless your a "company certified technician" go figure, I finally got one through N.T.E.semi-conductors. and my customers HAPPY NOW!!!
