If you are getting the
IE fault code or error code from your
LG washing machine then you need to know why you are getting that code and what do you need to do to
fix the problem.
You get this code if you have a LED model
You get this code if you have and LCD model
This
error code is caused when the
washing machine does not fill up with water in about eight minutes. The
washing machine gives its self eight minutes to reach the right water level. If there is a problem that keeps the water from entering fast enough the machine will shut down and give the IE error or fault code.
The most likely problem that will cause this
fault or error code is that the
water hose screens are plugged with dirt and debris. Most all washing machines have some type of water filter in the hoses or in the machine at the entering point for the water. Dirt and debris will build up in these filters till in restricts the water flow enough to cause this problem.
The other cause for this error is if you happen to reverse the hoses. If the cold water hose is on the hot side and the hot is on the cold side it can also cause to alarm. If the filters look clean then check the location of the hoses and make sure that they are properly connected.
Check that the
water valves where the hoses connect to the domestic water supply are on completely. Some valves are difficult to tell if they are completely on or not.
If you need to reset your
washing machine fault or error codes you can do this by unplugging the machine and then holding the start/pause button for five seconds. Then plug the machine back in and the code should be removed.
