Once reset the device will return to factory settings and won't attempt to connect to any wireless networks. You will need to follow the first time setup instructions.

This page will explain the basic steps, if you need further information please let us know.
Make sure your extender settings are the same as your wireless networks. (Same name, channel, security etc)

I set up my laptop using a Belkin wireless router, and it is o.k. thro ethernet by does not recognise wireless when I disconnect the ethernet cable!!

Well the best shot is to reset the router back to factory by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds then it will flash a couple of times. then see if your laptop can connect to the router, If that doesnt work let me know

Computor doesnt connect to internet states a local network cable is unplugged 4 green lights on routerand one red light turn off all power and unplugged cable also reset button but no internet connection...

If the red light is your DSL light it means you have a line fault or no internet connection. Contact your provider

If the red light is your broadband / internet light - it means you are not logged on properly. Chck your username and password are correct - especially after the reset!

Yeah hey...belkin wireless router password reset

What is the brand of the router your using? This information will be from the router that you have. Use a wired connection from the router, check your default gateway (ipconfig) and type that numbers in your address bar. You will be able to access your set-up page, look for wireless tab and look for wireless security. You will see there your WEP key.

No light

Try resetting the router and starting again as a first step.

Locate the reset button on the back and hold for 30 secs (you may need a pin as it is tiny)

If that doesnt fix, ring Belkin as its may be faulty.
