jph, this is a classic symptom of the high voltage board failure. What board did you replace? The high voltage board is the one on the back side of the refer, left hand side. Catriver.

SOURCE: Maytag refrigerator model # mfi2266aeu

Hi sandee462,

The reason why you experience this problem is because you have a control that if it senses the water is ran for over 2 min it shuts dispenser down , in order to unlock the control you have to reprogram it:

1. First, press the door alarm and freezer "-" simultaneously.

2. Release the door alarm but continue on pressing Freezer "-". You'll se PE_ _ _ _.

3. Press Freezer "-" until PE #### shows on the panel.

4. Using Freezer "+" to move cursor, Refrigerator "+" and "-" to change numbers, bring all numbers to "0".

5. Press Freezer "-" until PE and numbers blink.

6. Unplug refrigerator for 45 seconds, never beyond 1 minute or you'll have to start over.

7. Inside your refrigerator look for CODE #### which is at the right of the serial number.

8. Afterwards, plug back in your refrigerator.

9. Again you have to press Door Alarm and Freezer "-" at the same time, then release Door Alarm but continue to press Freezer "-".

10. Using the same method as above, enter the four digit CODE number you found.

11. Press Freezer "-" until PE and numbers blink. You have just reset your panel. Unplug for 45 seconds. Plug in refrigerator and you should now have full use of your door panel.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Did you put the correct code in? The code should be listed inside the unit.

My samsung ice maker is making ice, but not dropping it, what can we do?

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/samsung-assy-cover-dispenser-da97-08118p-ap5651766.html
This is your Touch pad. On it using only two fingers (nothing else touching the fridge) Press and hold energy saver, and the lighting button at the same time for 5 seconds. All of the LEDS should flash on the display, this is error code mode. Hold it down until either all of the LEDs go blank, or unless one of the little temperature lines start flashing. If they do flash you probably need a new ice maker. If they don't, honestly, it still sounds like the control is still working because it's supplying the ice maker with power. If the display goes blank for 30 seconds, the fridge will reset causing it to start operating normally again, but it always feels good to see if the unit will actually throw the error code for you. DA97-08059A is the part number available here..

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/183-7769407-3742050?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=DA97-08059A

Before ordering this part, also verify the freezer is cold enough (-8 all the way to 10 degrees F will be cold enough for the fridge to induce a cycle of the ice maker, any warmer temps this will not work. If the ice maker doesn't solve the problem, Then we point the finger at the main board, but have never replaced the board on this model to solve this issue. These ice makers fail enough to keep a truck stock one at work.

RT50 control panel not responding

It still sounds like the child lock is on since that prevents accidental setting changes on the refrigerator's control panel. The following will NOT work if the child lock function is activated: Freezer Temp Button Fridge Temp Button Power Freeze Button Power Cool Button Ice Type Button Water Button Ice maker Water OR it may be in Cooling Off/Demo Mode. Cooling Off/Demo Mode is a feature used by retailers to display the refrigerator without running the compressor. If your unit is not cooling, and the bars are constantly scrolling up and down the temperature, check your manual for reset advice

Reset temp

To Change Temperature Control Setting with Touch Pads:
• Freezer setting is on the left side of the display.
• Fresh Food setting is on the right side of the display.
- Press the warmer or colder pad for compartment and direction desired.
- Present control setting number will illuminate.
- Each time the pad is touched, compartment setting changes one number.
A display of 1 is warmest and 9 is the coldest setting.
NOTE: Setting the controls to the 0 (off) position does not remove power to the light circuit.
Control settings will vary based on personal preferences, usage and
operating conditions and may require more than one adjustment.

Lights on front of refrigerator seem to be locked. nothing works when you push one but lights are on and the temp area states the same 39

You are looking at a bad selector switch and or the door switches that activate the auger to push the ice out. You would be looking at replacing the whole control if you need the ice to come out of the door. I would first try the simple unplugging and plugging back in, sometimes resetting the unit can help clear it up. Good luck
