There was in depth new program about this happening and you are LUCKY this happened when you were awake, They reported that some ran the dishwasher at night and it caused major damage. I would ask the engineer to have the WHOLE unit replaced at their cost and check into whether there is a class action suit about this. Good luck and glad you are safe

Sensor, or sender for the gauge? Inside the fuel tank.
When lucky, there is an access panel to get to the sender from inside the car somewhere. When unlucky, you need to drop the tank.

Perhaps the pump is faulty however - the basis of operation is as it fills the pump engages. Theres a capacitor that drives the pump accessed from the right side - panels needs removal with torqx if you're unlucky. remove top either from side/front a bung screws there or front door open look up.
remove screws on top one rear bottom & along front with door open.

if it flashes at intervals then the flowrate unit is defective - need to be savvy to sort this one out.
if flashes continously then there possibly a blockage in the inlets - remove inspect filters.
one other thing - remove trays- steel mesh on bottom-locate the steel wire spring - deflect & pull housing upwards - this reveals the front of the pump - perhaps there some unpleasant surprises.

I can guide you to replace the flowrate - but the question is if you can obtain one. Miele supplies there agents/service contractors only as far as I know.

The cursor is there because the BIOS can't load Windows. If you're lucky it's only corruption - reinstall Windows. If you're unlucky the hard disk has died - replace it and reinstall.

HI for L6-10 you must change the polygon motor and if you are unlucky may change all the laser unit but usually with the polygon motor it is ok

Hi, your friend is right. Bosch are really good, but parts are really expensive. You will have to be very unlucky to get a Friday afternoon machine. In fact in the UK they ones offer 2 years g'tee parts and labour, but from my experience the worst that can happen is the PCB burning. And that is very expensive to repair. Apart from that, they are extremelly rialable machines. Hope this helps

The control panel most likely has control over one or more relays that open or close depending on the programmed action.  The relay need not be the typical electromagnetic kind but could be solid state and produce the same results. It sounds a lot like one of the relays has welded its contacts together (or shorted, in the case of a solid state device) so the control panel and settings no longer have dominion over its actions.
I'm not sure where to look in your machine though.
If you are lucky (well, while being unlucky) there may be a schematic on the housing of the machine that could give you some clues about the location of these control elements. 

Hi, sorry I do not have any advice to offer. We have the same model. Three weeks ago the red light came on and freezer stopped working. Last week the fridge packed up. We may have been unlucky but I thought it might be worth mentioning incase they were related and your fridge gave up as well.
